EA Sports have posted another NCAA Football 11 blog. This one showcases the pregame entrances.
Quote:
"Pageantry and Tradition; two words commonly used to describe what separates college football as one of the greatest experiences in sports today. Contrary to popular belief, not all of the action takes place on the field... and one of the hallmarks of collegiate football is how you get there. From Howard's Rock at Clemson, to the "Play like a Champion Today" sign at Notre Dame, to the roar of the crowd as our favorite team takes the field, we've recreated some of your favorite traditions before kickoff and brought them to you like never before.
As I wrote in my last blog, we really wanted to strengthen our authenticity and presentation in NCAA 11. And to do that, we knew pregame entrances were a major component of building a great foundation. We've created run outs for some of the most popular schools based on who you pledged your loyalty to in last year's title, including Clemson, Notre Dame, Miami, Nebraska, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and more."
Lol actually I chuckle when I see Notre Dame hit that stupid sign because they haven't played like a champion since Holtz left....lol don't you think you may be a little biased when you say Michigan has the best entrance. Sorry an entrance is supposed to get the crowd jacked and the players ready for a physical game nothing does that better then the entire stadium on there feet jumping up and down, trust me I've been there its quite scary when you can literally feel the stadium shaking. Sorry Enter Sandman on a Saturday night beats jumping up and touching a banner or slapping a sign that hasn't meant a thing for 10 years....
Congrats to the Ncaa DEV Team. Great job ya'll are doing this year. Now get all this onto one disc and get a few million copies out to sale with out alot of glitches are bugs then ya'll have done it right.

You cant tell me you dont get jacked up watching Michigans entrance with the best fight song in college football playing in the background and the fans join in. If you dont get jacked up from that, then you are in dire need of psychiatric help.
I still think Clemson's entrance is the best. It's a celebration of sorts.
However, U of M's is great. Da U's is very cool since they started the whole smoke thing. ND is very recognizable. VaTech is awesome as well. Not a UT fan at all, but the Vols running through The T is still one helluva sight. I obviously love Florida's and get pumped every time I see it.
They all bring a little something different to the landscape and that's what is pretty cool about it. I think all of it is (along with many other things) what makes college football so great.
I can't wait to experience all of the entrances. This year is going to be very exciting for all of us NCAA Football fanatics.
No but I did get jacked up watching App St block that field goal....but in all seriousness jumping up and touching a banner is pretty boring and sorry Michigan's fight song is horrible....
Damn, that was awesome to say the least! Hell of a job there EA!
Now, I cannot wait to see my noles come out! Will chief osceola be riding atop renegade? If that is in then holysh*t I will be amazed!
me too, always love watching the FSU pre-game.
and if they are able to pull it off, I would hope Texas Tech's Mask Rider on Midnight Matador(current horse's name) could get in as well(it's been done since the 1950's). however, TTU is not that popular of a team, so it'll likely be a generic entrance.

So apparently a fight song in the college football hall of fame is terrible. Wow is all I have to say.

He's still right. He's talking about tradition. Tradition is an incredibly large part of College football. If you asked the average, non-die-hard fan on the street to name two entrances they would probably go with something like Notre Dame's (who I also can't stand) or da U's or some other school that has had a longstanding entrance for years. While the Enter Sandman entrance is cool, it is still based around a song that is what, only 18 or so years old? It is cool and the Tech players and fans do get fired up, but it isn't uber-greater than the Domers recognizing their legacy or (yes, I'm going here) the spear being planted before every game.
