NCAA Football 11 News Post

Pastapadre has just posted most of the team ratings for NCAA Football 11. He has already mentioned that he missed a few, I'm guessing someone at E3 can fill those in.

I look at Vanderbilt's ratings and think "wow." It's comical really. We had one of the worst offenses in FBS last year and get a B. Really now? Our defense is pretty solid and get rated lower than our putrid offense. Ridiculous.

Wake up. Wisconsin had to play on the same field.

Damnit...I wanted to use Vandy in my OD....it's C teams or lower....now I gotta rethink my strategerie (I know it's misspelled, was trying to be goofy)

Colorado looks about right at B-. The question I want to know; if I am reading the rankings correctly, is how in the world is Nebraska's offense an A-? Their defense is what carries them right now, not their offense.

There are no BCS conference schools rated C OVR or lower. However, there are six BCS schools that got C+ ratings OVR:

Connecticut
Duke
Illinois
Louisville
Syracuse
USF

Nearly half of the Big East!

This is looking like a trend, maybe they wanted to lower the average defensive ratings for all teams.

Wisconsin is rated way too high. I mean, even Connecticut had a higher ranking recruiting class than Wisconsin. UNC is way overrated...those are the kinds of ratings you would expect their basketball team to have. Rutgers is a B+?? C'mon. I know they went 9-4 last year, but 3 of those wins were against Div. 2 schools, and they were awful in the Big East. Oregon State and Oregon should not have identical ratings..they clearly aren't equally talented. Purdue should not be ranked that high...they were 5-7 last year. I think Navy deserves a little more credit than their C+ average. Everything else is passable, but the ones I mentioned are pretty off.

Connecticut is ranked pretty low if you asked me. They were a few major league chokejobs away from a 10 win season last year.

I'm a Gopher fan and I certainly don't agree with the B rating....I was thinking closer to a C

# 32 JAKEHB20 @ 06/17/10 12:47 AM
I agree with the Badgers rating. Everyone will agree with me by seasons end. Oh and NDFan1029, since when does recruiting ranking effect team ratings????

# 33 Landlordos7 @ 06/17/10 12:56 AM
Nebraska's offensive rating is a laugh. Don't get me wrong, I think we'll be good on offense, but outside of the Holiday Bowl and Sun Belt teams our offense deserves to be rated about a C-.

# 34 gofresno @ 06/17/10 01:09 AM
The ratings seem to really be based off of strength of conference. I think Fresno State's ratings are just about right, but some comparable schools are rated a too high/low. IMO

Already been said but yeah Iowa is pretty off. Offense and defense should be flipped. B+ defense when it returns 8 starters from a top 10 D? Iowa's D is comparable to OSU and they are A.

And if I remember right the D-line was something like 91, 89, 81, 78 on teambuilder....keep in mind that is the same D-line that many publications have as best in the nation.

As a Colorado fan I can confirm that CU's B- B- B- rating is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too high.

The truth hurts.

These rating are base off of the rosters in TeamBuilder and we all know they are crap. Rutgers is missing just about everyone lol. Ratings and Players are pretty bad.
That came should have been a lot more spread out than it was. Wisconsin dominated Miami. Who cares about the field condition, yeah it was a problem, but then again both team were on the same field, no excuses. Wisconsin showed they can stop speed.

How do you miss bama?

# 40 WKUweather @ 06/17/10 07:44 AM
Vandy B- offense...I will take it! lol

WKU's offense is better than a D and no where at the same level as our awful defense, especially with Bobby Rainey as tailback.

Overall though, good rankings.
