Awesome. All these things add up to a more authentic experience being a Panther's fan. Hopefully all of the stadiums got some much needed attention to detail.
A-men, also noticed that they fixed the jerseys so when a guy goes sleevless the shoulder stripe does not continue under his arm... it's not a big deal, but when you're a die-hard Panthers fan who plays as the Panthers 99% of the time it's something that bugs you.

i really like the stadium ambience...the music sounding kind of muffled gives it that added realism

OL/DL still needs work...tackles are a bit better, i see some momentum in there...i dunno why but i really didnt pay much attention to the gameplay...i just heard how great the stadium sounds lol guess im an audiophile...

Crowd sounds much improved! As one poster mentioned though the DE- FENSE chant has to last all the way through the snap of the ball though

-Stadiums sound improved
-Gameplay looks much smoother
-Overall the little details such make it look and feel more like real football
-But the tackles need to be cleaned up...players need weight and momentum, i mean for everything from shifting, cutting, jumping, actual tackle pileups/second hits, on & on...damn this engine...anyways
Total package looks so much better to me...hope the final build looks and feels as good as this promises, if not better

Like the vids but would still like to see more pressure from front 4.
Hopefully we'll get some pressure vids soon especially showing DE's getting a fast rush up the field and not always getting blocked right at snap.

Love this time of year!

Is the new run blocking AI implemented in this Alpha video? At this point I am not certain why Ian would want to post Alpha video since it probably isn't the best representation of the product.

As a gamer with average skills and limited Madden practice the run blocking is something that frustrated me to no end. Getting to the outside, following a blocker only to have said blocker run right past the first defensive player in the way is the main reason I traded in last year's copy. I really hope they got it correct for this year's game.

The point the QB gets hit needs to affect the trajectory of the ball if he is hit as he throws, just like in APF. That would really add to the realism.
You know this does happen in Madden right? In fact, it happened too much last year and most of the community complained. Ended up having it tuned in a patch.

Heard the 1st down Panther growl I think.

Stadium looked really good.

They've got Jarrett as the 2nd WR. Not sure if that will hold true by the time the season starts, we will see.

Was hoping to see some Armanti Edwards footage (App state Grad!!!!) but I guess thatll have to wait. Saw they have him as a QB, which he's obviously going to play WR and maybe a QB on gimmick plays. They'll have to fix that one.

All in all, glad to finally see some Panthers footage.

Why show us a video from the Alpha when we have so many vids from the E3 Beta version some being full games on the net?? There's not much I can take from this video because I know its not the most recent build

In real life, whenever the Panthers score a TD at home, a firework pops, and John Lee Hooker's "Boom Boom" plays. Hopefully, since this is the Alpha stage of the game, they have added it in a later stage.

When it happened to me in APF 2k8, it was actually the first time I had seen that particular one. What they need is for the ball to come out of the QB's hands differently depending on how he is hit and the point in his throwing motion he is at. APF nailed this and it is really a cool element. I think with some tweaking, Madden could get it right as well.

Am I making sense? For some reason I am having a hard time articulating my thoughts lately
Nah you're making sense . Upon reading what you previously posted initially, it sounded as though you were suggesting Madden didn't have it at all. My fault brotha'...

one major thing I took away from this video was the audio, the crowd sounded phenomenal. They got super loud on 3rd and short, and even more loud when the 3rd down wasn't converted. I liked how they went with the action on the field....I am so hyped to play this game!

I was hoping to catch some Armanti footage as well.

Welcome To The Jungle! Sweet. Its sounds the like the music is being piped in through the staduim speakers. Excellent.

I really like what their doing with the QB Throwing Animations this year. I know they started it last year but, it's seems even better this year. For those of you who missed the video with the Viking's go back and watch Favre's throwing motion compared to Alex Smith and Matt Moore's. You should be able to tell a big difference and frankly, I'm impressed.

The pro-tak looked better, but I still see too many instances where it should be used and not.

I'm a HUGE presentation guy....the first thing I noticed was how well the timing of the crowd was. Nicely done!

agreed about the lame duck. While it was nice that there was an actual lame duck throw when a QB was hit, the problem was that the animation resulted in too many attempts at INT's by the DL.

I am hoping what you are referring to from APF, is implemented into Madden this year, or at the very least, some adjustments have been made to the lame duck throw from where it was last year.
