IceBreaker Talk Heats Up Again, Confirmed in Behind the Scenes Video

If you recall, back in February, NaturalMotion, the team behind 505 Games' BackBreaker, filed a trademark for IceBreaker Hockey.

Today, thanks to a post from Kotaku, it has been confirmed.

No, I think 2K should absorb Natural Motion. So, NM would just specialize in perfecting their engine, but wouldn't make the game itself.

Just a trademark issue. They may not be able to call the game Icebreaker.

If Natural Motion does anything else with the Icebreaker franchise at this point, it will be on cell phones.

They are exclusively a mobile developer now.

I wish they would have come out with a full 5 on 5 (6 on 6 counting goalies) console version of this game. I would have played the hell out of it!

Cell phones are such a waste for Natural Motion. Natural Motion currently has the best physics engine in their Euphoria engine. I understand why Natural Motion had to back out of the console market for financial reasons though. I wish EA or some other company would have bought the Euphoria engine.
