NCAA Football 12 News Post

Tradition Football recently received an email from Ben Haumiller.

He's looking to identify where the home team band sits, in preparation for NCAA Football 12, from the looks of it. Let's give an assist to what Tradition Football has already started, by following Ben's directions.

The Gaming Tailgate also has a very well organized thread on the same topic.

Quote:
"What we need is to identify where the band sits at each stadium. We only need to know where the home band sits since we already know where the away section is for each stadium.

The preference would be either photo reference/circling the section on a seating chart image over just a written description of the locations."

Nice to see you guys already have Arizona's in there!

Does anyone know how to get ahold of the person who does art/uniforms in the game? I heard he posts in here. I know this isn't band related, but Arizona will be adding a new scoreboard in the south end of Arizona Stadium next season. They've already started putting it up from what I've heard.

Here's a pic of what it's supposed to look like:

Thanks!

UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY BAND SECTION is in the front of section 12, next to the student section

The student section is much larger than it is in this years game. It generally ranges 7,000-10,000 fans all along the UA sideline to maximize their ability to make the kind of noise that only 7,000 drunk college students with front row seats can make. The total crowd is generally 50,000-60,000. The band has its own section of seating that separates the students from everyone else. The student section is also open seating so it often won't fill out along the edges unless it's a big game, and because they get free shirts they normally have a darker shade of red when looking at them from the sky.

@Fergdog76.... nailed it.

Anyway, looks like the teams I was going to post have been taken care of.. Iowa, ISU, Kansas, K-State, Mizzou are set.

Looks like a ton of them have already been pointed out... 2 months ago...?

at va tech they have 2 bands- the marching virginians sit in the entire bottom sections of the north end zone, and the highty tighties (core of cadets band) sit in section 105 in the south end zone.

For SMU, the band is usually in 120 and the visitors are in 128.

Washington State (Martin Stadium) - Located to the left of the goalpost that's closest. NW Corner of the Endzone below the scoreboard. Pretty much right where the tunnel is.

Unless they moved the location, the penn state blue band should be in the end zone right above the tunnel where the team runs out. From the sizzle video it looks like they are located where the "S" zone is on the east side.

Again, I may be wrong, so if i am sorry for the ignorance, just didnt know if any other psu fans noticed

Arkansas State Red Wolves' band sits down at Mid-field on the Away sidelines in the Lower Level. The Student Section is to the South of the band in the Lower Level. The away band at the stadium sits in the North Endzone on the East side....

Also the Away teams fan sits on the West Side of the field in the West Upper Level. Thats the only place that they sit. Unless Arkansas State plays Memphis, then they also sit in the Endzone but they are scattered.

I know it's probably too late at this point, but the info for the Houston Cougar band posted over at
TGT contains an error. The NCAA 11 screenshot of section 217 that has the band taking up the entire section is incorrect:

WRONG

CORRECT
