Quote:
"Loyal TDU2 Fans,

QA is currently in the process of rigorous testing on the next Xbox 360 patch. The current ETA is that these patches will see another three days of extensive internal review before they are sent to Microsoft for approval.

The goal of this patch is as follows:
  • Improve login process to allow a higher volume of successful connections
  • Increase online stability across all multiplayer functionality
  • Address issues related to file corruption
  • Enable Club and MyTDULife functionality
  • Enable Co-Op races
  • Enable weather while offline
  • Address an issue where players can get a Lancia which has no car data (the patch should prevent this from occurring in the future, and restore players who are currently affected by the issue)
Individual fixes from this list may or may not go live depending on the results of QA testing. We’ll keep everyone in the loop regarding the status of the patch. This post will be continually updated with all the latest details.

We're very thankful for our Xbox 360 players who have shown passion and dedication while we get these issues resolved. Thanks to everyone that has posted their issues, feedback, and positive words here on the official TDU2 forum.

Sincerely,

GMDestra and the TDU2 Team"

what a joke this release was, so horribly botched. They should be humiliated for even having the balls to release one of their major games in such a condition. Since no one really cares, it's more likely the community of this game will be small and the game will die in a corner somewhere.

I'm never buying an Atari beta again.

I'm still enjoying the game even with the server issues. Hopefully this patch will open up what this game was meant to be

How can a game advertise to a custumer that it has online features if the online section does not even come close to working?. They have sold me half a game for full price. It does not matter if their trying to fix it. They need to find a way to compensate people for thier false advertising and rubbish online service.Microsoft points should suffice.
Atari we expect more from you, especially when we pay good money.

they get away with it because Atari is a mediocre company and the game wasn't even highly anticipated or hyped. Except for the Gamestop owned Game Informer giving it an 85 score to push preorders in their store, there was a lack of interest from almost every major gaming publication/site, and reviews didn't hit until like a week after release.

This is just another reason to not rush out to buy games at release. I only bit because I loved the first so much and they were giving free DLC away, which I haven't even been able to use once.

It's pretty bad really. I think this game, along with the current scheme of Gamestop, is an example of how bad things have gotten in gaming. First off you have a developer on their FB account touting the game and pushing its anticipation. Sure, they are supposed to do that, but the game has several issues to where its simply a bad game. So what happens? They get back on FB, write to their "loyal" fans and the comments in return are blasting them with all types of profanity and criticisms.

So now you ask, "How on earth does a reviewer give a game this bad such a good review?" I think the answer is clear. I actually enjoy Game Informer, but at the same time I can't help but wonder its intentions.

I also think developers getting involved with the community needs to go away.

I guess Atari is going to give away the next DLC for free, which was originally going to be paid.

too late, I already got rid of it on ebay for $38, and Gamestop is currently giving like $25 for it as well.

At least it sounds like this DLC can be played offline, since I haven't even been able to play with the free casino DLC they gave for preordering the game.

I just traded it in today toward Fight Night and regrettably took a loss. I really wanted to like this game but was let down by the overall low quality. I'm trying not to be so much of a ***** these days but this game really shed some negative light on things.

So this patch is just for X360 or is there a concurrent PS3 one being worked on too? Also, I still think this game it totally awesome. I don't know if you guys who are so disappointed are comparing it to the original TDU or what, but I never had that game.

I feel the same way about GI. Especially since Kato was the one who reviewed this and I usually think he's pretty good with the sports/racing games. If it was Ben, I'd understand more. Right now the game has a 69 metacritic score with the majority of the reviews in the 60s. I'd agree with that rating as this game just doesn't get it done for me. I loved the first one too.

Too little too late for me. Already traded in at Amazon. I took a hit, but I'll live.

Wanted something to carry me over until Shift 2. This wasn't it. Guess I'll be going back to Forza.

I just picked up Dirt 2, which I missed when it originally came out.

Wow, it looks like a lot of you hated this game. Between just roaming around and playing poker in the casino, I've been enjoying this title a lot. The only issue I've really had so far is the casino servers not working properly on occasion.

PK, I loved TDU, but part 2 is just terrible...or should I say,"TURBAL!" (in my Charles Barkley voice)

I waited too long on this sequel for it too be so bland and boring, everything that made the first one so great, just isn't here. It's like they said, keep car clubs and vehicles! And add unnecessary story line, whack way to get clothes, no more editing the character too look more life like, etc. It's just a boring racer, no where as interesting as the first one. The whole let's get licenses now and crap like that, are just waste of time.

Truly hate TDU2...I don't like anything about it, and all these years and the graphics are still plain, environments are so yek!

I'll just wait on Shift 2...

Update on console patches

Quote:
The first of our game optimizations for console will be live tonight [3/10/11] on Xbox 360 at 1am PT (9am GMT) and PS3 is soon to follow. This update will resolve a corruption issue that some players experienced with their saved game files. In some cases corrupted files will be automatically repaired.

Available on Monday, 3/14 at 1am PT (9am GMT) will be a patch that should address many of the outstanding concerns that some of the community experienced on PS3 and Xbox 360. We have worked diligently to stabilize the network and address log-in issues. Friends lists will now be populated, invites will work correctly and Clubs will be brought back online. The Casino has been optimized and the bug causing players to lose money has been resolved. We have also addressed many of the exploits in the game and will be monitoring cheating in all its forms.
