WWE 13 News Post

Check out 10 new WWE 13 screenshots, right here.

Last summer, one man revolutionized the current WWE landscape. In a legendary moment at the end of Monday Night Raw, WWE Superstar CM Punk – as The Voice of the Voiceless – changed everything the world knew about WWE. Through his words and actions, a new leader emerged to set a higher standard, convey a new brand of attitude and ultimately ignite a revolution among the WWE Universe. His mantra? "Best in the World."

It’s not the first time WWE has seen such rebellion. Nearly 15 years ago, the legendary "Stone Cold" Steve Austin also revolutionized the WWE realm, sparking a new generation of supporters through his relentless, antihero behavior in one of WWE’s most celebrated time periods: the Attitude Era. Why did it happen? In his words, "'Cause Stone Cold said so."

Today, a new crusade is on the horizon, and it doesn’t start with an iconic WWE Superstar on television, online or at a live event. WWE '13 is imminent, and it’s time to Live the Revolution.

THQ’s flagship WWE videogame franchise returns to provide the most authentic, seamless and passionate experience to date – all while turning up the attitude. WWE '13 will transform WWE gameplay through the introduction of WWE Live™, completely changing the way players embrace the videogame’s audio and presentation elements. Predator Technology™ returns to further implement critical gameplay improvements, while fan favorites in WWE Universe Mode and the franchise’s renowned Creation Suite are poised to offer the utmost in player freedom. Furthermore, WWE '13 will introduce a groundbreaking, single-player campaign based on the highly influential Attitude Era. Complete with a robust roster – the largest to date in the franchise – along with a host of additional features, WWE '13 is ready to live a revolution all its own.

KEY FEATURES
  • WWE LIVE™ – Experience the atmosphere, spectacle and fervor of a WWE live event through attention-grabbing Spectacular Moments, including ring breaks and barricade crashes, along with a brand new audio and presentation system designed to produce the most authentic and vibrant commentary, sound effects and crowd participation levels ever experienced in a WWE videogame
  • THE ATTITUDE IS BACK – Return to an unparalleled and groundbreaking era in WWE history – a time of pure raucousness, grandiose personalities and colossal revolution – through a franchise-first single player campaign focused on eight purveyors of attitude during the famed television "Monday Night Wars," including WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
  • WWE UNIVERSE 3.0 – Control the virtual WWE experience like never before in the popular career-style mode, as individual decisions throughout gameplay will dynamically introduce matches, alliances, rivalries and unpredictable moments along the path toward becoming a WWE Champion
  • PREDATOR TECHNOLOGY™ 2.0 – Driven by new animations, transitions and modified controls, Predator Technology returns to deliver intelligent, fluid and engaging WWE action, resulting in a smoother gameplay experience than its predecessors
  • CREATE + SHARE – Utilize the franchise’s industry-defining Creation Suite to develop and customize Superstars, entrances, arenas, finishing moves, storylines, highlight reels and more, as well as share and download creations with others from around the world

If Shane McMahon is in, it's a first day buy for me.

Highly doubt the Bellas are in it.

How long had Michelle McCool been gone by the time last year's game came out? Same time as the Bellas left.

I'm not sure that I like that there's only 45 current superstars vs. 32 attitude era guys. I was hoping that they would hold off on the reveal or atleast have DLC to get guys like Ambrose, Rollins, Cesaro, Ohno, or Steamboat in.

What's gonna suck is that all those guys will probably be on the main roster by the time the game comes out but won't be in the game.

Well looking at WWE's roster page, there are 60 people I'd consider superstars and a good 15 of those most probably wouldn't care about. Some are going to be missed, but eh, I'd be more interested in the Attitude wrestlers.

Exactly, that sucks. Much like how they missed on Byan and other Nexus members. I'm not very happy.

well I assumed it meant 7 divas, then 38 male superstars.

But they're in for one mode, I did my WWE universe very realistically like real life. I would rather have the FCW guys that will be up than so low end attitude era guys. Although I would rather have H, Taker, Henry, etc. would have the attitude era versions as an attire, not as a completely new character.

I love those NEW features but Is it hard 2 make the cutscenes happen in REAL-TIME ....

I really wish they would just make a whole game based on it. No way I go back and play the old Acclaim Attitude game for PS1. Haha.
Then why call it WWE13?

Stephanie McMahon's in it?

The one other thing I really hope they add is better selling of moves. I grew tired of guys falling off of a ladder and landing outside of the ring only to get up in less than 5 seconds pretty quickly. Also just selling regular moves as well. I want those moments where guys have to struggle to get back to their feet. Hopefully that's part of the match pacing feature.

Oh, and specialty matches need to play much better. Money in the Bank matches are no fun when you got two CPU guys immediately scrambling for ladders and trying to set them up like they're trying to escape a burning building. Cage matches were also pretty lame because once you got worn down enough, the CPU would do a simple suplex and climb out.

They need to have a selling slider...if I'm playing with friends having a crazy style match, its different than me trying to have an actual wrestling match with the computer

Ziggler better have his own style of selling or I riot.

This is exactly what I would like to see in the game. To me this isn't a fighting game, this is the WWE where the performance of the two in the ring is what is important, not who wins or loses per say. I would love to see them get back to a match rating based on the performance of the match.

I saw a good example the other night watching a match in WWE 12 between Shawn Michaels and Shamus. HBK hit him withe the chin music and Shamus' legs wobbled as he tried to stay on his feet and then he hit the mat. HBK pinned him and it was over, but the way it was sold was a thing of beauty. If only we could have that as a more important part of the game instead of it just happening every once in a while. Someone posted about a slider, that would be cool but I would rather have it be built into their attributes. Better wrestlers with more experience tend to sell better type of thing.

Was Steve Blackman in the attitude era?

I don't see him on here
