NBA 2K13 Features 3 on 3 Blacktop Mode Online, Use MyPlayer to Team Up with Friends

While NBA 2K13 will not have Crew Mode, they will include 3 on 3 Blacktop Mode Online, where you can use your MyPlayer and invite your friends to play.

Of course, there is also NBA 2K13 TeamUp, for those that enjoyed the mode last year.

Very satisfied. Somewhat like a private team up, I am assuming. This will definitely suffice for me.

I hope 3v3 is not the max number, though. I want to get four of my friends and play someone else's 5 people. That'd be truly exciting.

I seriously hope we can do 5 v 5 but 3 on 3 will suffice, enough touches for everyone and no ball hogs. Perfect.

While I prefer (by far) the 5 vs 5 experience, this is regardless a welcomed addition !

P.S:
Hopefully we can finally play teamup with our invites (unlike 12 were we got separated) and also play it with classics ... anyways, looking forward to read/see/hear the detailed online insight ... as well as an association (offline and online) one ? ...

3v3? Smh. 5v5 would have made a lot of Crew heads a lot more happier.

If we could play 3 on 3 and then have the next team of three sitting on a random park bench like they've got downs so they can spectate, that would be a nice little addition. At this point, I'm just dreaming and asking too much. Ha!

I think at this point, it is Crew or absolutely nothing for a lot of people. I asked a week or two ago in my thread if they would play a 5 on 5 private team up mode, but people wanted their personal jerseys and the ability to rank their team within the list.

This 3 on 3 Blacktop Mode Online will be just fine for me and many others, though.

I would play a 5v5 private team-up mode which is already in the game. I agree with the people though, it's still not better than having your own player and the other things you listed.

Yeah, it will be cool for some people. I am sure most Crew heads will play this a little, but it will have nothing on Crew Mode lol. I would much rather play 5v5.

Not bad 2k. I think this is enough for me to delve into MyPlayer/MyCareer once again this year.

Why not make it an 5 on 5 then?

Just a guess, but that could be the limitation on why crew got pushed back - good performance with 6 people but 10 people was causing problems.

I said this in another thread but you could have your own 3 vs 3 crew league where teams meet up and play other teams. You would have to keep up on w/l and stats and what not yourself but it would be a decent thing if you asked me. I'd definitely be up for it.

I don't know there are many combinations where you can get a 4 or 5 while still having a decent ball handler and a scoring threat either wing.

This is good move by 2K, 3on3 is a good online mode. Everyone playing is involved more, less ball hogging, more of a chance to show your basketball skills than it would be with 5 on 5.

I rather have 5 v 5. Its going to be hard to play team defense with only 3 pple. 3 on 3 just sounds like its going to be a dunkfest with no real team play. IMO

This is awesome I never experienced crew but this is great too. I hope someone make a 3 on 3 league or something like that.

I think it's funny slash awesome that 2k only competition is 2k lol. Meaning at this point I can't decide where more time will be spent... OA, My Team, or breaking people down 3-3 like I used to on the playground. Very REALISTIC move on 2k part bc the truth is 95% of the crew lovers have 0 game in real life and the playground is as far as their REAL game would take them!!!
