We don't doubt you send the message LD, but someone is clearly ignoring some of them...There're wrong/outdated things that have been ignored for years man...

Wowwww..how did they not realize that cook, aldridge and hayward shouldn't be on okc?

Is lamb still on the rockets? That means thabeet isn't in the rotation , or lamb isn't in OKC's rotation if he got traded. They gotta fix this today, not in 2 weeks..pretty unacceptable..its not like OKC traded hayward for a d-leaguer..that was a pretty big transaction 2k.

There is a MAX of 50 PMs you can get on OS. My PM to you went thru and I got no response. Which is fine I KNOW you get alot of Ignorant PMs but mine I Dont think was in that Category, because I am not the type of person to send Senseless PMs. Now People have been Complaining SINCE the 1st Update with Missing Players, and they were STILL Ignored in the 2nd Update. I mean Alexy Shved has been signed since BEFORE the game was released. How can he NOT be in the Update? Updating the Courts is Great, but HOW can we not Correct Players? We have heard that 2k13 had been in the works a Couple Months AFTER 2k12 was released. So HOW can a Players like Courtney Fortson(played with Rockets) and Alan Anderson(Raptors) NOT be in the game as a Free Agent. It is things like this that cause me to think WHOEVER is in charge of Assembling Rosters and the Free Agent pool just ISNT in touch with the NBA. I could give many MORE examples but i think I made my point.

I think 2k does this just to get a laugh at all the negative comments. They're obviously doing it on purpose because a monkey with a labotomy could do a better job with these rosters than the 2k insider. Especially considering there's guys on OS who will have these roster issues fixed and all hidden players on their respective teams by the time I finish typing this. Who CARES about the "OFFICIAL" 2k roster when the OS guys can do their thing?

The things I'm disappointed about are the following things that used to be a part of the game that 2k has pulled away.

1. No player intros like in past versions.
2. No player sweat (or barely any).
3. No slider share. This to me is the most ridiculous thing of all time.
4. No way to turn off Auto-save.
5. No ability for OS pros like Barockafella to do Hex edits. Going to miss having my 93 Suns in this version (93 Suns with no black arms and correct jerseys).
6. Missing legends like Kareem and Dr. J (WITHOUT BLACK ARMS).
7. Good menus/menu design instead of this gangster looking stuff. This menu version is VERY hard on the eyes.
8. No D-League

And I'm sure the OS community can think of many more omissions then what I just listed, but those were on the top of my head and I don't have all day to think of this stuff.

2k has gotten very CONTROLLING with their game. While 2k13 is slightly better graphically and gameplay wise, (and the soundtrack is pretty good in my opinion), and the shoe creator is really awesome...big step up in that area...there are still way too many things that should not have been taken away...that I'm sure they'll add in future versions to pump as new, cool feature as a selling point for their product. That's what 2k likes to do...take things away and then add them back in a few years later pretending like it's a new cool feature....just like they did with the bounce pass...claiming "Bounce pass is back". Well....whooopydeedoo!

2K needs to realize they got on top for a reason...and they will fall for a reason if they continue to be lazy in certain areas.

Once Live handles their gameplay issues, they will trounce 2k. Kind of looking forward to it. Live, while not on par graphically or game play wise, at least paid attention to details that made the game fun.

I mean...Harden didn't just magically teleport over to Houston.
They gotta fix this at least before houston game tomorrow or OKC's Thursday. GOod thing i got a lot of work to do because I can't really play 2k right now lol

Anyway with the knowledge to make a video game, run with this idea...

I've had this idea for quite sometime now and after sharing it with a few members on here I was encouraged to write and post a blog about it in the hopes that perhaps someone in the gaming world would stumble upon it and run with it. With the disappointment of NBA Elite 11 and the cancellation of NBA Live 13, the feedback thrown at EA Sports seemed to range from questionable to smart move. Instead of putting out a very poor game with the expectations that people would've had (and those expectations would've been high) I guess EA decided that the future was more important then the present and why not get a head start. Well I thought that with Live 13 being cancelled that 2K would've taken the opportunity to slam the door shut in the basketball gaming world by unleashing 2K13 with close to perfection as you could get, but right out of the box you had people screaming at glitches, bugs, certain options for users taken away, rosters (they were accurate up to August 3rd for those who didn't read the disclaimer when the game starts). Now don't get me wrong, I think that 2K13 is a very very good game, it's only a week old so those who hit the panic button already need to understand that the game you picked up October 2nd and whined about is the same game that by December 25th you're going to be raving about. It seems that the upgrades or changes made in 2K13 were focused much more on the MyPlayer modes then Association mode. Now you have MyCareer along with MyTeam. I never quite understood the fascination behind MyPlayer other then it being Association mode where you just created yourself or a player that you have full control over (Create-A-Legend to me is MyPlayer just with the ability to select a current NBA player instead of a created player) and after creating your MyPlayer you are thrown into really the Association mode world. You can play more then one season and players are changing teams, retiring, new players coming in from drafts and so forth. Well the hardcore offline/online Association mode people would've liked to have seen a little more attention and focus put towards that mode I would think and that is where this idea for EA comes in...

If 2K is going to push MyPlayer and that be their number one mode in the game to sell then I think EA should turn their attention at attracting the next group after MyPlayer people and that is Association mode people. First off all get rid of the Elite and Live title for the game, bury it and start from the ground up. Your sole focus is to build a game that is devoted and focuses on Association mode offline and online. You would have Association mode hardcore fans of both online/offline running to the stores to get your game, but how to grab their attention? Here is how...

1) General Manager/Owner - you give the user FULL control of running a team (or 30 teams) if they choose. Implement the new CBA and allow the user to be able to EDIT anything that a General Manager/Owner would do realistically.

2) Rosters - you provide the most accurate roster out of the box and within a week of release you provide an update for users that include any players not included in the roster that came with the game out of the box. Players that are retired, playing overseas you remove them (or hide them) giving you room to add in all the players that need to be included. Every two weeks following you have a mandatory update for the rosters, BUT you make it so users do not have to re-start their Association offline and online.

3) Coaching staffs - again you give the user EDIT control of everything from Head Coach, to assistant coaches, to trainers to scouts. Also create a coaches free agent pool with coaches not currently coaching but have also not retired (Jerry Sloan, Stan Van Gundy, Mike Dunleavy, Nate McMillan) as well an assistant coaches pool (Patrick Ewing, Bill Cartwright) who are not currently coaching as well. Give the user the option to promote assistant coaches in the situations that call for Head coaches job. Coaching staffs should include the Head Coach, his top 3 assistants, the head athletic trainer and 2 NBA scouts.

4) NBA D-League - probably the most important feature and one that 2K I would hope took out of 2K13 so they have a year long to work the kinks out and re-introduce it in 2K14, but the NBA D-League needs to be in Association modes. It adds to the realism off the NBA and although player movement in the D-League day-to-day is so busy you need to still provide the ACTUAL D-League teams and players and coaches for the user. You can also use the two week roster update window to manage the D-League movement for the most part.

In other words you start from the ground up and you create a game dedicated and devoted for the Association online/offline users. The gameplay and presentation will have high expectations and you don't let them down when they put the game in because you made those two areas a priority as well. So you throw the name NBA Elite away and you bury the name NBA Live and you squeeze through that crack in the door that 2K left open instead of slamming and you introduce

EA Sports - NBA: The Association '14

Pathetic. When is this lazy 2k insider gonna be fired? And what pisses me more is that 2k was joking about his identity and about him on the developer insight videos, like if it was funny or something...

2k should be ashamed

Why put out a poor update if the main trade isnt even correct lol
They have cut Brockman, Johnson, Livingston and Forbes. They did that Last Night BEFORE the Update came out. So they could have Easily made the Rockets correct.

Is the harden trade the only change from the last update? 2k is rather lazy with this. We're still missing players.

If its name and shame of 2k insider we're going for then contact Owen Good from kotaku about this. What better way to get unwanted attention than from a big gaming site like that. Maybe then 2k insider will finally get it!

The update was was not created late last night so any thing done after work hours would not be included.

These poor roster updates has been going on for too many years now, you would think by now they would get it right. I'm still wondering do these guys even pay attention to what's going on in the NBA when it's concerning team rosters and such seriously.

It looks like Donte Greene may be the new Ike Diogu this year who haunted the Spurs' roster in every update in 2K12.

I am still amazed how they go 20 days without an update and then we finally get the update and there was hardly anything done, at least that I can tell. MUST add Rasheed Wallace ASAP.

# 115 cthurt @ 10/30/12 11:53 AM
Im willing to bet that when if ever they add Rasheed Wallace he will be a created player instead of his cyberface...any takers???

are the Brooklyn Nets Jerseys updated with the V-Neck and not the round neck ones?

# 119 MagicFan4Life @ 10/30/12 12:00 PM
I want DeQuan Jones on the Magic. I don't want to start an association until I get him.

# 120 JrueTheFuture @ 10/30/12 12:02 PM
What a pathetic roster update.
