Madden NFL 25 News Post

Every day, through August 10th, members of the Madden NFL development team and community (Game Changers), will announce the All-25 team, which consists of the greatest video game athletes (at the height of their career) at each position.

Today they have announced free safety Sean Taylor (Washington Redskins) from Madden 06 with a 99 overall rating and strong safety Brian Dawkins (Philadelphia Eagles) from Madden 99 with an overall 99 rating.

Tomorrow the team will announce the cornerbacks. Who do you think it will be?

I can only imagine how Redskin fans feel when that happens.
He is the reason I am a Miami Hurricane fan and was by far my favorite player (2nd fav is D. Green). I'm glad to see he is on there and is worthy of the spot. I feel like though Ed Reed should be on there somewhere, but only one can make it.

CBs will be Revis and Bailey

Sean Taylor is the greatest safety I have ever seen in my life time.
#RIPST21 #GOAT #HTTR

All I wanna know is can we put Sean on the Redskins roster?

RGIII + Sean Taylor would be a dream come true...

Just had to pull myself together at work.

RIP MEAST!

Great to see his legacy live on.

I like the 2 choices. Dawkins is a beast he'll blow up a running back. And Taylor should be a ball hawk, surprising no ed reed but im cool with that.

I'm upset no Ed Reed. Thought for sure he would be, however can't argue with the picks made. All easily best at what they do.

Rip Sean Taylor

I'm glad to see Sean Taylor back in the game. I still create or rename him to my roster.

I miss watching him give receivers, 'gator arms' or running across the field to pick off a ball.

Thanks EA.

CB Definitely Champ Bailey.. and Proooobably.... DeAngelo Hall because in Madden '04 - '05 he was pretty much a wide receiver on defense..

What about prime time?

RIP Sean Taylor

I still create him from time to time on Madden or NCAA....and he's always a 99.

Who the heck is making these decisions?

I doubt Deion Sanders is in this game cause Sean Taylor is #21...surely they wont have two #21s on the field at the same time...

# 14 justwinbaby42 @ 08/01/13 04:17 PM
Its gotta be Champ and Dion.

# 15 DGuinta1 @ 08/01/13 04:38 PM
What about the running animation? Ewww!

Cornerbacks HAVE to be Champ Bailey and Charles Woodson. (However, I did see Deion Sanders had a 100 rating in Madden '99 and 2000...)

Madden 2000 OVR: Bailey 84, Woodson 94
Madden 2001 OVR: Bailey ??, Woodson ??,
Madden 2002 OVR: Bailey 96, Woodson 98
Madden 2003 OVR: Bailey 96, Woodson 96
Madden 2004 OVR: Bailey 98, Woodson 94
Madden 2005 OVR: Bailey 99, Woodson 93
Madden 2006 OVR: Bailey 98, Woodson 91
Madden 2007 OVR: Bailey 99, Woodson 88
Madden 2008 OVR: Bailey 99, Woodson 92
Madden 2009 OVR: Bailey 97, Woodson 92
Madden 2010 OVR: Bailey 96, Woodson 93
Madden 2011 OVR: Bailey 95, Woodson 97
Madden 2012 OVR: Bailey 97, Woodson 93
Madden 2013 OVR: Bailey 95, Woodson 89

Woodson may have tailed off as he's aged, but he's still been consistently one of the top CBs in the game. And Bailey should virtually be a lock.

I barf on Revis. I see no threat in him. Champ on the other hand has had a reputation for shutdown bully in past maddens. This madden13 I felt there were no legitimate shutdown corners due to the overpowering lead-passing weapon.

As much as everyone is gonna hate me for this, I don't agree with the Sean Taylor pick. Maybe if his life wasn't cut short, then sure. But we didn't get a chance to see enough of him to put him on the all madden team.

Until they overhaul the canned animations on this game as well as NCAA, these franchises will always remain lackluster.
