In the past nothing ever was built off of one title to the next, where was Pro Tak 2.0 or a second phase of any feature they added for that matter.

Going back even to M13, you can see they are clearly building of each title and improving upon the previous title, they had Infinity 2.0, this year there's Player Sense 2.0, they extended True Step beyond the ball carrier and Clint said he's working on it currently for CPU positions like the OL. They improved presentation greatly from last year, have kept adding lines for Nantz and Simms, since 13. The sidelines and crowd have improved since 25, players come off the bench now to congratulate their teammates, crowd audio is more responsive and aware of what's happening on the field.

The issue IMO is the rate of improvement, but unlike the past teams, this team is improving the game each year.
Where did you hear that they worked on true step?

From Clint, the main guy who works on it. They extended it beyond the ball carrier and like I said he's working on it for the CPU currently for the future.

If any of you follow me on Twitter, you know I'm not a EA fanboy, I'm constantly telling the devs the things they need to improve upon and implement to make the game better.

I assume that all sports games have long-term development roadmaps to guide multiple annual product cycles - as well they should - but the term "three-year plan" doesn't really mean anything to me at this point.

Where did you hear they've been working on a new animation system?

That's where it needs to be the most though. That's where I see most of the BS sliding occur. Under CPU players. I could see it not being for lineman, but it needs to definitely be in the secondary and linebackers. I hate having to see my receivers step to make cuts on a route and DB's and safeties just turn and cut on a dime with no penalty.

Also for CPU ball carriers. Madden 25 they step at times, but can still basically cut the animation short and go where they want.

Here I think I know the answer to that question:

"Clint tweeted to me that it might be done and then later tweeted something along the lines of it being in"

So he saw it mentioned on twitter and starts running wild saying Clint told him personally.

Honestly, I didn't even notice this and had to go back and watch it again after reading your comment here.

You are right, the crowd definitely sounds better in this clip than it has in years past. I listened to the clip with my headphones and could definitely hear improvements from the crowd noise. This is a long overdue, much needed, and very much appreciated improvement from EA if it holds up in the final release.

Gotta take what we can get at this point, right? Baby steps.

Yeah the crowd sounds great this year in these videos. Add it with the new cameras the presentation is definitely a step up.

What I want Tiburon to fix is no replays after timeouts. No replays of injuries or penalties. No replays of interceptions if the possession is the 1st for a team. Instead it skips right to the QB intro. No replays if the 2 minute warning comes. How about when an injury occurs the playcall screen just pops up like nothing significant happened. Stuff like that needs to be addressed too.

Also the 3 year plan technically didn't start with Madden 12. Madden 12 was Ian's "baby". That was the culmination of everything he put into Madden. I start Cam's vision with Madden 13, so 15 is technically Cam's vision. Now Rex is here with his 3 year bull****, so his will be Madden 16. There's probably another dude in their that has a 3 year plan that's gonna come out next so his will be Madden 17. There's probably another guy there with a 3 year plan so his will be.............see where this is going..........
But that's kind of my point though Sage. You would think that after multiple years of being somewhat let down, you would eventually go into a wait & see mode as opposed to just going by what people are saying year after year. It's almost like the boy who cried wolf lol. EA hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt from us yet so I don't understand the blind faith by some. This could be the start of them earning it as next years game includes animation fixes, interactions, signature play, etc.. But again it always comes back to next year with Madden lol.

Yeah Tiburon makes it hard to look forward to the Madden they are currently trying to get us to buy, lol.

Honestly I just want a Madden 10 type effort. The game was nowhere near perfect, or even ground breaking, but I saw the effort there. The leap from 09 to 10 was clear as day. Nothing made me want to go back and check 09. It hasn't been like that since for me. Well I haven't went back to check Madden 13, but that's just because I thought it sucked.

You had to bring up 09...

I think I'm going to be sick, and I just had a nice lunch

Madden 10 was definitely a big improvement. I think it is still the Madden I could make the defense actually play with some teeth and have scores that were consistently too *low*.

That and playing with Broadcast cam.

This is all old footage.

Lol. This just cracks me up. Different strokes for different folks, for sure. Madden 13 was the biggest leap forward for the franchise ever in that they finally tried to implement a RTP engine. This is the game that makes me smh when people say, 'same old madden.' Lol. This game was totally different than previous versions and played completely different. However, if u didn't mess with the sliders, I can see the comparison. ALLPRO plays like ALLPRO madden 6-12. Allmadden plays like Allmadden from 6-12, also. And, then 13 'feels' the same. So, I can get that. But, try 13 with all zero sliders except for QB ACC around 30, I think and WR catch way up to 83, I think I had it. Those settings allowed the RTP to really shine as the players weren't 'hamstrung' by the sliders. They all seemed to move independently, and I'm dead serious when I say I legitimately saw an 'infinite' amount of animations with 13 with those sliders. From what I'm seeing of the 15 footage, I'm hoping for out of the box decent play, if not solid play. However, I am totally planning on f@&king with those sliders on day ONE to make it play the way I want. For online players, I know that doesn't work, but for anyone wanting to play sim style franchise vs CPU, u HAVE to mess with the sliders. U can get a more functional game out of it. 13 was WAY better than 10-12 IMO. But, once again, different strokes. Lol.

The only thing about that is it probably would bother me just as much, lol. With NBA 2k14's intros, everything I've seen in the intros I've seen in the game. Those animations are there and are possible in game. If they did that it would be like NCAA Football 14. Where they are basically just cutscenes where none of that is actually in game. It's better than using real footage I guess, but is still frustrating.

They show the QB jogging over to talk to the coach during timeouts now and they have short commercials during timeouts as well.

That's all good and well, I like that they added that, but if I have a big play before a timeout, or 2 minute warning, I'd like to see the play shown like on television.

JP for once I'm going to kind of agree with u..
I have to say I'm surprised this hasn't happened sooner..what I mean is small commercials in Madden and other sports games (even though I haven't played other games other then Madden and 2k football) as well..it not only creates the feel of watching TV games, then they can sell spots...kind of win win so to speak..however I'm sure if and when this does happen it will be taken too far and then I'll be back here complaining about it..lol

I respect that, like you said different strokes. EA's RTP wasn't impressive to me. It wasn't a good enough game IMO for me to want to "lab it up" and experiment with sliders. Imma presentation guy and the presentation was trash that year coming off of 12. I hated the passing game. Sig qb animations all but disappeared. Progressive lighting was worse. Don't and still don't like connected careers. The RTP made everything a sloppy mess, but then again I didn't lab it up, so I respect your perspective.

I can get on board with the commercials as long as they are done well.

I am very interested to know how short "short" is in this instance. 10 secs I can live with but much more than that is a little much.
