Cousins defensive issues are well documented by Zach Lowe. Very skilled but hasn't been an overall difference maker like several bigs above him. He could put it together and make the leap however.

Seriously?! 1st in scoring, 4th in rebounding, and 3rd in assists.

Except he has same defensive win share as Dwight and same dRTG as Dwight. Obviously Noah is far better player defensively than Demarcus...Ditto for DMC being better offensive player.

Btw I am absolutely loving the debates! Great insight from everybody
Wall IMO was the best PG in the East last year, over Kyrie. That 86 looks about right for Wall, but not for Kyrie, even if this is a 3 year look back. Wall is a much better playmaker and defender than Kyrie and is way more athletic. According to the old scale at least with most other categories being equal, this would force a higher overall for Wall. Kyrie is a better ballhandler...thats about it. Statistically, Wall is a better finisher and their 3pt shooting is basically equal (Kyrie 344 attempts - Wall 308)

Wall

PPG - 19.3
FGA - 43%
3PT - 35%
APG - 8.8
RPG - 4.1
BLK - 0.5
STL - 1.8
TO - 3.6
MPG - 36.3

Kyrie

PPG - 20.7
FGA - 43%
3PT - 36%
APG - 6.1
RPG - 3.6
BLK - 0.3
STL - 1.5
TO - 2.7
MPG - 35.2

Come on now, look at Rondo and look at Kyrie... Kyrie may be the better scorer and more exciting player to watch at times but who actually plays the PG position better, it's rondo easy. he's a walking triple double grabs boards and drops dimes hella easy. Kyrie just scores, now I would say John Wall should have been rated higher than Rondo imo.

I don't know if you know this but the overall is determined by which one of these is the highest. From there they give the overall value. I use to think like that but basically now they have all these categories. If Rondo best category is better than Kyrie's best category then Rondo get the higher rating.

Take a look at this example of Love from MyLeague

I'd take Lowry, he has better 3%, less turnovers, gets to the line, more assists than kyrie, rebounds really well for his size because he's a tank. Takes more charges than anyone else in the nba.

Here is Demar's stats which are impressive as well just to break it down.

DeMar DeRozan -SG --- imo he could be rated A LITTLE higher as the 10th best scorer in the league, 10th in ppg, and fg's and 5th in free throws, he's still working on his 3pt though

PPG - 22.7
FGA - 43%
3PT - 31%
APG - 4.0
RPG - 4.3
BLK - 0.4
STL - 1.1

Overall i'm just glad the raps aren't getting blatantly shafted like in years past. I do wonder though on a simmed season how often they make the playoffs in this game...

They have 2 85's
Then a 78, 77 and 76
Bench a few low 70s and the lowest in the game at 68

It would be interesting to see avg # of players in each category 86-90 and 90+ as well as 80-85, 75-79, 70-74, below 70

^^^^I also think Kyle Lowry is better than or equal to Kyrie Irving(and that's being generous since Kyrie plays no D)

More reason to be curious about his individual ratings.

Melo isn't a 90? That's weak.

No one has a problem with K-why being an 85? What did he do during the regular season? Hope he plays like he did during the finals.

He was effective shooter and great defender/rebounder.

Haha... That's enough to be 85 I guess lol. Oh well. We'll see I guess. It's like Paul George in my opinion. Can't start boosting him up because he had a good finals run. Paul had a good season last year. But he earned his rating through out the year.

Edit: I'm also OK with proving me wrong. I've been wrong before.

I'm actually okay with Leonard having an 85 because I don't know his individual ratings. But I guess IQ and added defensive ratings, as well as offensive really boost our ratings.

I trust beds enough to give him a pass on ratings, but am more concerned about individual ratings/tendencies.

Yea guys... I'm looking at Paul George and K-why stats. I just don't see how he could be an 85 without a good regular season

Some of the guys that are rate 85 are border line all stars. Not that K-why can't be one. But he hasn't even done anything yet.

I'm looking at Kawhi and PG's stats and only three(yes three) things that PG does better is score MORE and assists more and he has better defensive rating by 1(97). He is less efficient, less rebounds, less steals and blocks. Also PG has more TOs. That's it.

I've got a lot of feedback that Kawhi is underrated. I am of the same camp that I feel like there needs to be a little more offensive production for 82 games and that the consistency needs to be there, but he shot a high percentage (elite from mid range), and his defense is top notch. With AI at 82 the Kawhi 85 felt warranted, although I tend to think people have a very short term memory when it comes to the NBA, and for that a lot of people want Kawhi much higher
