Steps to Get NHL 16 EASHL Beta For Xbox One RIGHT NOW

Microsoft hasn't pushed it yet, but here are the steps to grab it now on Xbox One. We will update this post when it is available on PlayStation 4.

Go to the Friends tab
Then click the Friends Online tile
Go down to Find Someone
Enter rammer34 as the gamertag
Scroll over to the right, to see the Top Games (Last 30 Days)
Highlight NHL 16 EASHL Beta and hit the A button
Highlight View in Store and hit the A button

It's 4.8GB.

Oh, I played it this morning...didn't know people didn't know to do this. Well enjoy everyone, rammer43 has a team as well you can join with active people playing on it.

I sold my copy of NHL 15 on ps4. Can I still play this beta or am I out of luck?

According to a mod on the EA forums:

So if you downloaded the Xbox One Beta through Rammer's profile, but haven't played NHL 15 on Xbox One, then it sounds like the Beta wouldn't work for you, based on what the mod is saying.

Also based on that, if you HAVE played on the Xbox One and sold your copy, you should be able to download and play.

Sony usually updates their store in the late afternoon/early evening.

I've downloaded everything but can not figure out actually how to play a game. Any help? I'm in the menus. I was never big.into eashl but would love to feel the gameplay. Any advice would be appreciated

Been playing it, there is no drop in availability. But since you are able to join any club by searching, many people have been joining random clubs and grouping up with people.

Technically, the Beta has not been officially released yet on either system, which is probably why so many Xbox One users have been experiencing issues loading into and staying connected to games.

I've seen a lot of Xbox fans on forums feeling like King K. Rool:

I wonder why it is taking so long to officially release it. While technically if they release it at 11:59pm EST it is released the day they told us, this is frustrating.

guys i haven't logged into my ea access version of hl 15 in about a month. I just did and was not prompted to download the patch that was released in advance of today, I'm on xbox one... how do I assure it is there? Do I have to go into the xbox settings to find the patch? Thx!!

The #NHL16 EASHL Beta is not officially live. We are working through technical issues and will provide an update shortly.
