PES 2016 News Post


Konami has kicked off their scheduled weekly roster updates for PES 2016, ensuring that the stats of the game's many stars reflect that of their real-life counterparts. See the full list of changes here. Activate the updated rosters by pressing the R3 button in team selection screens.

These updated rosters will be available for online play, in the following modes:
  • Online Divisions
  • Friendly Match Lobby
  • Team Play Lobby
  • Online Competition
  • Quick Match
NOTE: Live Updates will also be available for one-off offline matches, such as Exhibition matches and Friendlies.

On October 29, the first Data Pack is scheduled to arrive, which implements updated rosters to all modes and will include many updated player faces. The free Data Pack will also include the following teams:
  • Galatasaray
  • APOEL
  • Maccabi Tel Aviv
  • Panathinaikos
  • Qarabağ
  • HJK
  • Partizan Belgrade

So the million dollar question is, why is it so hard for Konami to allow us to download and save this live roster instead of including roster updates in data packs? Every other sports game does it that way.

Maybe because Konami doesn't have the Million Dollars to do it.
I do agree though.... Every other sports game figured it out. They also figured out ways to import images on Xbox one via online servers but Konami couldn't do that either

lol, no clue. The cynic in me would say they want more people to play online, and that might result in more people purchasing coins. But, in light of the backlash this debacle has created, that seems too dumb.

Yeah, but it looks as though about 1,500-1,600 of those are guys rated < 70. And like 99% will have genetic faces. That'll change on the 29th. Still, that seems like a lot of players.

they are an absolute joke. Sad this game is made by them.
