NBA 2K17 News Post

Kevin Durant has announced that he will join the Golden State Warriors. Looking at the end of season NBA 2K16 ratings below, the Warriors would have 3 players with a 90+ rating with Draymond Green not far behind. No current team has more than 1 90+ rated player, not even the classic teams have more than 2 players rated 90+.

ESPN's Bomani Jones stated you can't play with that team in 2K. Are the Warriors in NBA 2K17 cheese? If you run into them online, what will you do?

It's not cheese if it's reality.

What can 2k really do about this? lol Its not 2Ks fault that Durant decided to join the superteam. For me, just raise the default difficulty in online games and that would be ok for me. Playing against this team on Pro or All-Pro is the disadvantage.

The short answer is yes; yes the warriors will be cheesy on 2k17.

However, if Curry and Durant's shot release are the same on 2k17 as they are on 2k16 it won't be that bad. They have 2 of the most broken, and inconsistent releases in the game.

If 2k actually fixes their shot releases then look out...

People will use them like they use this years Warriors.

First they'll iso with Curry. If that doesn't work then they'll iso with Durant. And if that doesn't work they'll quit.

The majority of the warriors users online in 2k16 were not that good. A lot of them just tried to spam 3's and would brick them with bad releases. I imagine most will continue to try to do the same thing even with durant on the team. Its more of a tired to play the same teams over and over problem. If 2k could offer lobbys or online community feature it would be easier to play against a variety of teams.

The two years LeBron's Heat won the title, they were DEAD LAST in rebounding.

The problem is if I'm playing a team like OKC, Celtics, Clippers, even Spurs in franchise mode....I might as well hang it up. There's no way I'll beat GSW with Durant now.

I might as well sims 3-4 seasons and let these guys get older and then start to build up my franchise...seriously.

This signing is an absolute joke.

I'll take my Heat.

They could sign a rebounder for the minimum. I think of a guy like Reggie Evans who was probably averaging like 20 rebounds per 35 minutes lol. There is some rookie that has a rebounding specialty that they could pick up, that's all they really need is that and some post defense. They are beatable though no doubt. You really do live and die by the 3.

What can 2k do? Jeez I don't know? Revert to the style they had on ALL previous 2k games? I'm tired of unrealisticy getting matched up versus the same team EVERY game. Sure some scrubs don't know how to use them, but once you get higher up, they ain't scrubs anymore and they still use them.

Sure some players are realisticly elite, but its not realistic to play vs them every single day. This is nba 2k. Not gsw vs cavs 2k

Russell Westbrook reaction after the news....

Just as long 2k tightens up the defensive movement I don't care who I play against online.

Knicks fan here too, but I'm sorry, Jennings is trash. Shooting % below 40% for career. Yes, had 55 pt game as a rookie, but he isn't good.
