XBOX 360® ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE XBOX LIVE® WEEKENDS
 DURING EA SPORTS CHALLENGE SERIES

 

REDMOND, WA — August 26, 2008 — Microsoft today announced a series of special Xbox LIVE weekends surrounding the EA SPORTS Challenge Series allowing hundreds of thousands of Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network subscribers the opportunity to join in a number of sports-related gaming activities during select sports seasons throughout the year.

 

The special Xbox LIVE weekends will be in conjunction with the multitude of EA SPORTS Challenge Series events that will take place around the country using four of EA’s most popular sports titles — NCAA Football 09, Madden NFL 09, NBA Live 09, and NASCAR 09.  Xbox LIVE weekends will be held during the last weekend of each month, beginning August 28, 2008 and running through March of 2009 giving sports fans a non-stop, superior gaming experience. 

 

Through this exclusive partnership with EA SPORTS, gamers of any skill level can register for Play & Win sweepstakes to earn exclusive prize packages while playing the games they love.  Prizes for the Play & Win sweepstakes include a 40” 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV, 650W 5.1-Channel Home Theater System, a Madden NFL 20^th Anniversary custom Xbox 360 console, and much more. Players can also test their skills by competing against the actual game development team to see who is the best of the best on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.  Sign on to Xbox LIVE on the last Friday of each month from 4:00PM—7:00PM EST and show off your skills against the game development team.
