Carroll's Post Game Notes

Positives

Marcus Trufant - 2 INT, TD. Played dominantly all night shutting down his receiver, and picking off 2 of the 3 passes thrown his way

Defensive Line - The D-Line impressed yet again, with Brandon Lebane disrupting plays in the backfield, and Chris Clemons stepping up to the plate and showing he could end up as a starter on the way to recording 2 sacks including a safety. Oh yeah, he forced a fumble as well. Nice.

Earl Thomas - The rookie showed some smarts today. He did a nice job knocking Greg Jennings out of bounds with the ball rather than getting beat going for the pick. He also made a nice play sacking Aaron Rodgers on a blitz. Jordan Babineaux played very nicely as well, and that's a relief, as he will be playing at strong safety until at least Week 7 due to Lawyer Milloy tearing his bicep.

Negatives

Offensive Line - Something needs to be done here, fast. The line looked weak yet again, giving our running backs no hope. I know the Packers have a strong front 7, but that is no excuse for the amount of men our backs had to take on in the backfield. Put this along with 3 sacks and it tells the tale of the game.

Running Game - Please see above...

Anaemic Offence - 28th in the League. We will have another strong test up against the Vikings D-Line, and whilst starters normally play the whole of the 3rd game, I can't risk losing Hasselbeck. A lot of hard work to be done this week.
