The world isn't making much sense right now...
Posted on February 4, 2009 at 11:29 AM.
Let's just leave it at that. I've been the nice guy for too damn long and nothing has worked for me. I mean, I have strict morals to be the most unselfish and understanding (and hopefully understandable) person that I can, but in the end, I end up pleasing no one I suppose.

I can't even get a word in without being, literally, ignored. It's worse when it's thrown right in my ****ing face. Here's a lesson for you: have more respect. I use my words with reason, and everything I ever do gets taken out of context. This applies everywhere in my life. My boss even got mad at me for voluntarily working 15 extra hours in November (not getting paid, mind you). What kind of boss is that? Doesn't make sense.

I don't even know where I'm going with this... but I feel underappreciated in this world. I know a lot of people on here like to make fun of my want of feeling like I'm at least of some worth, but I wouldn't be posting if I didn't feel like I share some part of this community and that my name means something more than what... a 2K lover and edge-enhancement freak?

I really don't know where I'm going with this...

The secret is to find joy in every circumstance in your life. As far as I know there is only one way to do this. I think you know, but your worldly ways won't allow you to admit.

Peace

The truth is, I don't have time for it when I'm busy trying to do the same for others.

Thanks, though.

Are you a religious person? If not, then you may want to look in that direction (up). I am just saying... Not trying to preach to you.

I do think you need to let things go more Blzr. People will have a difference of opinion. Just accept it. If you don't like the player models in the Show that's OK. But there is no real point in debating it over and over with those that disagree. Just accept it and move on.

I felt you went overboard with your criticisms of the Show player models. But if you really felt that strongly then stick to your guns! Make your point and move on. Instead you waffled and tried to retract what you said.

Just be secure in yourself and your thoughts. Think things through and learn to accept that people can't always agree on things. Learning to let things go is tough but over time you will realize that sometimes it's not only the best option but the only option. It doesn't mean you have to compromise your thoughts or opinions either. I agree with the saying Jim quoted above about having the wisdom to know the difference between what you can change and what you can't.

Anyways, try to have a better day. You'll get to try the demo tomorrow anyways.

Well, thanks for the words. To be honest though, it wasn't you jim. In fact, it wasn't anyone in particular (it was a few people), but you weren't even a part of the equation. But overall, it's not even you guys on OS... something just happened to trigger because of what was going on here, though.

It's just everyday life. I saw that movie Yes Man, and I was thinking to myself, "If only life were really like that..." I've been that yes man for God knows how long, and nothing good has come out of it so far. There was good, but I got accepted to school here in hopes for playing baseball (which those hopes were very close to coming true), and in the end I had no jersey and lost my girlfriend. Didn't help much losing my best friend early in high school either, who was the ultimate nice guy, and I felt like I needed to pick up where he left off. Seems like I'm not getting handed much more luck.

I could go into specifics, I really could... but they all come with backstories, things that make my posts very long-winded, like you guys said. This is becoming more long-winded than I had hoped as well.

I apologize for long posts. I understand what you guys mean that they are unnecessarily long; it's not that I try and do so, it's that I don't know how to plan concisively.

I still feel that speaking through text doesn't get the whole word across. I speak with a certain tone where you would really understand what I mean when saying things if it were in person. I wished for that opportunity recently, and somehow with the misinterpretation of my being "unloyal," I was ignored.

The boss thing is an issue that simply doesn't make sense, and I won't try to explain it. He is a weird guy and does not help us to do our job, and I try and do my best to show that I care for mine, but he seeks bad in what I do and tries to exploit it.

Again, I don't know where I'm going with this. Just rambling.

And just to add, jim:

"You come across as an arrogant persistent bore."

This is most unfortunate, because I bet a lot of people feel the same. I'll have you know that this is definitely not the kind of person that I am. I mean you only met me for two minutes, but hopefully you found something else other than that in those two minutes.

Again, text (and the discussions around here) don't tell the whole story of anyone around here, me especially.

Blzr, your boss sounds like a bully. Nice and respectful doesn't mean being a doormat or constantly sacrificing what you want for others. Bullies sense weakness and will push you around (as will the wrong woman). Don't let that happen and stand up for yourself. If you really dislike him that much then find another job.
