The Return of the Bantham Tech Rams

Nearly ten years ago, on the extremely-limited Create-a-School mode in NCAA Football 2000, I created a nonexistent college called Bantham Technical University. Following 2000, the team continued as an annual creation from NCAA 2003-2006.

Thanks to Teambuilder in NCAA 10, BTU will be making a comeback, albeit with some major changes. Here is the university's (fake) "official press release" explaining the changes:

ST. PAUL, MN: The Rams of Bantham Tech University will begin their 2009 season with a new head coach, new starting quarterback and a new outlook after being promoted for an unprecedented second time to the FBS. However, 2009 will be a reflective season for the University's football club, as they will hold ceremonial "Season of Champions" festivities at every home game this year, honoring a total of six alumni and coaches by retiring their names and numbers on the walls of both endzones at 3M Stadium.

Additionally, the University plans to reveal new, updated logos and uniforms for the third time in school history.


Primary 2009 home and away uniforms for the Rams, loosely based upon the 2005 season's "RedOut" uniform redesign that removed black as the predominant uniform color.


2009's "Legacy" uniforms, replicas of the 1969 Rams team uniforms. The home variation will be worn at BTU's 2009 home opener against the cross-town rival Minnesota Golden Gophers. The away variation (not shown) is scheduled to be worn during BTU's final away game against the Norte Dame Fighting Irish in order to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the first-ever game between both teams.
