EA isn't the only problem, per Madden:

I can't fault anyone for having fun with a game despite any flaws it may have, especially when it's your only option, but I do feel that past a certain level of defending EA for the messes that we are given, it comes across as fabricated. A good deal of the really strong and vocally in our faces, EA defense posts feel manufactured and to where those folks are even forcing themselves to try and believe it.

So, anyway, I have to ask: Seriously, would all of you staunchly defending the game also watch actual, real life football games with all of these same issues? Would you accept constantly crap gameplay, majority stupid decision making, lots of skinny linemen holding off DT monsters, FAT boy QB's, QB inaccuracies galore, equipment and uniform flaws, players warping, the ball warping and floating in the air, players bear crawling in circles forever, the entire nfl draft you just watched didn't matter, trades never happen, your players retire after one season, the stadium is louder than anything else you want to hear, etc. etc. etc. ???

If you wouldn't accept any of that in real life football, then you might begin to understand the reality of us so disappointed and wanting better, and you might begin to understand how fake you sound to the rest of us, especially when forever the slogan for Madden has been, "if it's in the game, it's in the game."

I do hope M24 can get patched to a tolerable stasis because the theory of what is there is definitely wanted...but it just doesn't work correctly as immediately sold to us, and that's morally wrong. It just is. Yeah, I'm mature, and I can handle it, but it still pisses me off. I don't have to like it. I promise you that I would feel the same way if I buy a TV, movie, album, phone, blender, car, air compressor, heater, stove, etc. that is supposed to work proper, but I have to wait weeks or months after purchase for downloaded patches to ever use them well enough (and still not absolutely as advertised).
