Air Canada

So I was making some posts about this my GM in the My GM thread ,but my posts would quickly get buried by short comments so I've decided to just post here.

At this point in the season we are 16-14 and currently the 8th seed in the east. We are selling out the Air Canada Centre nightly with our run and gun style and athletic dunks.

My Goals owner Ben Parker has presented me with are

1: Get us in the top 10 in the league in percentage, which we are running away with

2: Win at least 18 games at home, Currently have won 7/

3: Raise our team chemistry to 65%, Currently at 42%

My Rotation as of right now is

PG: Nate Robinson
SG: Demar Derozen
SF: Rudy Gay
PF: Amir Johnson
C : JAVALE McGEE! *Shaq voice*

6th man: Terrance Ross
7th: DJ Augusten
8th: Jonas Valciunas
9th: Qunicy Acy
10th: Marcus Camby
12th: Austin Daye

Res: Danny Green (Injured Reserve)
Res: Matt Bonner
Res: Aaron Gray

If you saw my previous posts you'll know that I've made a few roster shake ups.

First signing I make is Marcus Camby. Gives us a veteran influence in the locker room and some steady defense from the bench. Hoping to bring him onto the coaching staff if i'm allowed when he retires.

Next signing was a "What the heck" signing. Brought in James "Flight" White to be part of the Air Canada show. Coincidentally Demar Derozen goes down with a torn hand ligament and I decide to start Flight. I keep Terrance Ross on the bench for some bench scoring.

1st trade was Landry Fields, Steve Novak, 15' First Round in exchange for the Spurs Danny Green, Matt Bonner, SA 14' 2nd round. Fair trade in my opinion. On our end we get the versatile Danny Green of the bench, a 2nd rounder to hopefully grab a sleeper and the Red Mamba for comedy relief. Spurs get a decent player in Landry Fields, a Knock Down 3pt shooter in Novak and they hope a high first round pick, but we'll try not to let that happen.

Next trade is a big one. Javale Mcgee is heated with his role in Denver only logging about 10 minutes a night. I jump at the opportunity and throw them Tyler Hansbrough, Kyle Lowry and our 15' 2nd rounder for Javale Mcgee and Nate Robinson. The fans are instantly excited to have Nat and Nate is instantly excited he can break out all of his retro Jordans again since they match with our uniforms. Javale gives is a real Center now, previously started Amir.

Now that we're caught up to speed our most recent game is the first game after the trade. I actually bring Nate off the bench and give Javale the start. We play back and forth for a bit in the forth quart however Dallas dominates us in the paint grabbing every offensive rebound. The bench comes in and I instantly learn that Nate has been nerfed in next gen. I loved playing with him in previous years ,but this year his size is a huge con. I bet I had 4 clean shots blocked only because someone was able to reach over and get a hand on the ball. I need to learn how to use him fast. That aside the bench leads a huge run. we take the lead with a clean Danny Green 3 only to see he came down wrong off the shot, broken foot, out for the season. The rest of the game isn't much to write about as with low morale from Toronto, Dallas runs away with the game.

I skip around a bit in this MyGm only playing the fun match ups or games with a bit of meaning like the game above at Dallas with my new players. Next game is January 1st, Indiana at Toronto, Demar Dorozen's return.

Demar is back in the in the lineup and it couldnt have come sooner with Green's injury. I start Nate now with limited minutes, DJ getting most of the pointguard play. I know this is a tough matchup with the combo of Roy Hibbert and David West down low. We actually get a lead in the 1st with some great steals and Offensive rebounds in the 1st. The game calms down as we let Indiana come back and we trade punches the rest of the game. Demar is playing great in his homecoming. Javale keeps us in it with crucial rebounding, blocks, and putbacks. He's doing exactly what we brought him in to do. He toys with Hibbert the entire game drawing fouls and Roy finally fouls out late in the 3rd. I know the game is ours now. We trade punches al throught the 4th and manage to get down by 11 points with about 2:30 left in the game. Javale comes through again with some clutch blocks, rebounds and straight up defense to bring the game to 97 95 Pacers in the closing seconds. Toronto brings the ball up court in Nate Robinsons hands. As the clock ticks down I just give it to the taller Demar Derozen. He buries a 3 and leaves 2.7 on the clock. Indiana inbounds the ball and can't get any shot over JaVale and Amir.

As you can see, that was a dirty game ,but we'll take the W
