Madden 19 - 1978 NFL Season Remake - Week 6
Posted on January 4, 2019 at 07:09 PM.
Well 6 weeks of the season are complete and it was somewhat an uneventful week, at least compared to the past several weeks. Nonetheless, here's the scores from week 6:

Minnesota Vikings 23 (4-2) Seattle Seahawks 17 (2-4)
New York Giants 28 (2-4) Dallas Cowboys 14 (3-3)
Baltimore Colts 28 (1-5) Arizona Cardinals 34 (4-2)
Philadelphia Eagles 17 (3-3) New England Patriots 35 (5-1)
San Francisco 49ers 7 (1-5) Los Angeles Rams 31 (6-0)
Atlanta Falcons 27 (3-3) Pittsburgh Steelers 30 (5-1)
Chicago Bears 13 (1-5) Green Bay Packers 20 (6-0)
Cleveland Browns 34 (3-3) New Orleans Saints 17 (2-4)
Denver Broncos 7 (1-5) San Diego Chargers 21 (3-3)
Buffalo Bills 24 (5-1) New York Jets 17 (2-4)
Houston Oilers 34 (2-4) Oakland Raiders 37 (3-3)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20 (3-3) Kansas City Chiefs 23 (6-0)
Washington Redskins 30 (3-3) Detroit Lions 16 (1-5)
Cincinnati Bengals 31 (2-4) Miami Dolphins 13 (2-4)

The top story for week 6 comes from Kansas City where the Chiefs in their 2nd consecutive game went into overtime. The Kansas City Cheifs were able to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 23 to 20.

The Oakland Raiders and Houston Oilers also went into overtime and again it was the home team, the Oakland Raiders, that were able to put the game away. It took the Raiders 2 field goals in overtime to win 37 to 34 over the Oilers.

Another game this week went into overtime as the Baltimore Colts and the Arizona Cardinals could not decided a winner after 4 quarters of play. We would again see the home team, the Arizona Cardinals, pull off an overtime win over the Baltimore Colts 34 to 28 and elevating themselves to 1st in the NFC East Division.

Our final story is the New York Giants able to get a big win over divisional rival, the Dallas Cowboys, in an effort to claw their way back into the playoff picture. The Giants beat the Cowboys 28 to 14 and if they want to see the playoffs, they need to get a winning streak together and quick.

Thank you all for still being here after 6 weeks (12 actual days) and following this season with me. I hope you comeback next week as I break down the results of week 7.
