-I'll admit it, I'm nervous as hell about the SEC Title Game. To get this close to making the national title game and then have it taken away would be horrifying. I feel confident Bama can win, but Florida is legit. I keep reminding myself "they lost to Ole Miss. they lost to Ole Miss." And then I think to myself "we've still got John Parker Wilson."... ****.

-Only two more weeks left in the semester. My Christmas Break starts at noon on December 11th. Where did this semester go? I've done a lot and seen a lot but it feels like it all happened in the course of a month. Honestly, I don't even remember September.

-Tomorrow night is my fraternity's Christmas Cocktail. I haven't decided if we're staying the entire time or not. I kinda want to ditch the bar at around 11:30 and come back to my place. But date parties are fun as hell when you have a girlfriend. And this is the last time I'll ever go to a Christmas Cocktail.

-If Alabama makes the national title game, I'll be there. Me and my friend have 2 tickets locked up if Bama makes it. My parents agreed to fund the trip(hotel, flight, ticket money, spending money) as my main Christmas present should I wish to go.

-On the flip side, if Alabama doesn't go, I get to upgrade my home theater system(blu-ray player, new receiver with HDMI and all that jazz, and a new subwoofer) for Christmas.

An Alabama national title game appearance is more important...right?

Hell Yes.

Nothing personal, but I think Alabama is a vastly overated #1 team playing in a vastly overated SEC. However, if they do beat Florida, I will change my tune as I feel Florida is by far the best SEC and worthy of their ranking.

I wish you luck, but I don't see Alabama winning the national championship.

I still think the winner of the SEC will end up the National Champion. Part of me thinks USC might be one of the best teams as well. The Big 12 is getting a lot of love for how competitive it is and yet there isn't a big win by any team out of conference to suggest the Big 12 is that good. You could say that about many conferences though.

Anyway, I see your dilemma about the Christmas gift. Part of me always favours getting good tech toys over an experience that is fleeting. Tough call though. Have fun if you go!

That would be fun as hell to get a chance to see your team play for the National Championship. I remember being close last year when Mizzou was heading into the Big 12 'ship with a chance to get in. Hell, I'm excited just to be able to see Mizzou play this year in the Big 12 Championship in KC... I'm sure you'd have a blast seeing 'Bama have a shot for the national title.

I hope the Big 12 and SEC face off in as many bowls as possible this year. There's been a lot of back-and-forth about which conference is stronger this year and I'd like to see it settled on the field.
