Kreider and Mashinter battle for final Roster Spot

Kreider knows his playoff success will not be enough to ensure a roster spot

And so goes the start of training camp, and with it, comes the battles for final roster spots.
An intriguing battle out of Rangers camp puts last-years playoff phenomenon Chris Kreider vs newly=acquired big man Brandon Mashinter.
Both players are very young and have a lot of room to grow, however, with only one roster spot available; one of them will be growing in the AHL.

"Thats how Torts [John Tortorella] runs things around here, and its very fair. If you play well you play often, if you don't than your on the bench. What I did in the playoff last season, as a rookie, shouldn't make me feel less motivated to work hard in camp." were the words echoed by Chris Kreider after Day 2 of Torts grueling pre-season camp.
The fun part of Training Camp is watching the players battle for the bottom spots, and that is exactly what we have going on in Ranger Country!
