I came for info on NCAA 2004...
I found OS looking for info on NCAA 2004. I joined and while it took me a while to post. Here I am a member, donor, and a huge supporter of OS. It's strange how that happens. Find a group of like minded people, talk sports and here we are.

Baltimore, MD Brian Matusz did his best, pitched reasonably well. It wouldn't be enough though as the Orioles were mystified by Ian Nova's fastball, change-up combination and they fell to the Yankees 9-4 in front of a capacity crowd.

Matusz did his best in the early innings, working out of a jam in the first when he struck out Curtis Granderson and Mark Texeria following two one out singles. He was tagged by Raul Ibanez in 2nd for a solo home run, but managed to work out of the ... Read More

JJ Hardy rounds 1st following the first of his 2 HRs to help down the Twins

Baltimore, MD For the 28,000 fans who descended on Camden Yards hoping to see the first Orioles victory of 2012, it didn't start out the way they hoped, but baseball is a nine inning game.

Tommy Hunter got off to a rocky start allowing 4 Twin runs and 8 men to bat. It was an ominous start for the Orioles who were still ... Read More

Baltimore, MD It was another night of bull pen problems for the Baltimore Orioles as they fell for the second time to the visiting Minnesota Twins. 9-4. Baltimore battled from an early 4-1 deficit to make it 4-3 in the 6th inning and were feeling good. They managed to chase the tough lefty Francisco Liriano (1-0, 5.40) after only 5 innings getting 5 hits, and working 2 walks. Jason Hammel pitched admirably giving up 4 runs in his 5 innings of work and Kevin Gregg, was really good throwing 2 ... Read More

Sadly, this Jones home run came with no one on base.]

Baltimore, MD Carl Pavano (1-0 1.35) and Jake Arrieta were the early story and the failing of the Orioles Bullpen were the story late. Arrieta went 6 innings in his frist opening day start for Baltimore surrendering only one run, on a Joe Mauer (2-4, HR, 2 RBI, R) solo homerun, to give Minnesota an early 1-0 lead. Baltimore would rally back when Adam Jones ... Read More

The Baltimore Orioles got off to a fast start to the spring, but have since cooled down considerably. The team has an ERA of 4.95 and a team BA of .241. While no one is panicking this early, it is a little unsettling to see some players struggle.

Nolan Reimold got off to a fast start in the first two game, belting two homeruns and driving in 5 runs. He has since gone hit less and is now batting .222. Adam Jones seems to be loosing his grip on the #4 spot as he is hitting .150 ... Read More

Reimold is congratulated following his 2 run HR in the 3rd inning

The Baltimore Orioles started their 2012 campaign off with a solid 4-2 win over the New York Mets. Nolan Reimold laid his claim to the lead off spot, belting a two run home run off Johan Santana while going 1-2 in his first spring action. Jake Arrieta looked shakey but managed to make it 3 innings giving up only 1 run. Arrieta walked 1 ... Read More

Sarasota, FL The 2011 Baltimore Orioles were 6-1, first place in the AL East. They finished the season 69-93. Andy McPhail wasn't brought back as GM and in his stead Dan Duquette was hired to replace him. In addition Duquette brought in a young protege N51_Rob to be his assistant. The two look to bring the Orioles back from the depths of the super competitive AL East.

Spring Preview

For Baltimore this spring will be all about figuring out which players fit in which ... Read More

Just wanted to welcome you to my MLB 12 The Show Orioles Blog. Similar to one Ive kept in the past this one will feature post about my progress from time to time. While I make every effort to play all 162 (and hopefully more) games. I plan to use All-Start settings with Pulse Pitching and timing hitting. I may tweak some sliders and I will update those as well.

I'm not big on making a bunch of trades, I do use my farm system as best I can. With that in mind I do plan to seek ... Read More

I'm lucky enough to live in Maryland and be close to three stores that are willing to break street dates. As such I've been lucky enough to get my grubby little hands on Madden NFL 10. Thus far, this is a game that has me floored. I didn't buy last years madden, gave up of 08 rather quickly. As it stands the last madden that I really enjoyed was probably 05. Well as the title states the excitement is back! At least for this gamer. Playing a game of Madden to me feels like what I see on TV ... Read More

I was feeling really good coming off the Rockies game. My first win really put me in the right mindset that I can pitch and pitch well at the Major League level. I would need that confidence going froward. 3 of my next 4 starts were going to be against NL East teams. (Philies, Braves and Mets.) I was also looking forward to a game against the team that drafted me then traded me the Brewers! Shaping up to be a very interesting month.

First up. The Phillies. This was another game ... Read More

You guys will have to pardon me. I usually do 2 or 3 games to an update. This is a one game special update. I pitched the best game of my RTTS, or any other MLB 09 or 08 for that matter game. The only game that tops this is my No-Hitter in MVP 05 way back when.

So if you are a rookie pitcher in the National League East and you are struggling to keep the ball in the park, have an AM radio station for an ERA (8.10) and your team is 2.5 games out of first and you play in the same ... Read More

Well after 2 years of fine tunning my craft in AA and AAA. I got a spring invite from the Nationals and pitched well enough in the spring to not only make the big club, but was entrenched as the number 2 starter in the rotation. That was welcome news. I also got a nice little pay raise. My AAA contract was going to pay me about $129,000. Well now that I'm in the bigs I will be making $389,000. Still underpaid as a number 2 pitcher in MLB but I'm still 3 years away from arbitration so it's ... Read More

When we last left young Richard Robinson he was in the midst of a winning streak and seemed to have found his rythem following a rough run in the early part of the summer. His defense was behind him, the offense was putting up nice numbers. He had found a way to pitch to lefties with out the addition of a 5th pitch. Things were going Rich's way. Would his dominance continue or would he revert back to his up and downs ways?

More importantly then my own numbers is the fact that ... Read More
