As I was perusing through the magazine aisle at the local supermarket, I noticed that Dave Campbell's Texas Football had it's annual edition out on the shelves. Now, I love Baseball with all of my heart, but I recognize that in Texas, football is king. DCTF has a breakdown of every single team from the professional level down to six man football in the-middle-of-nowhere Texas. It is a treasure of information for every single team in the State of Texas.
I have simulated all games based on the simulation engine at What If Sports. While I don't think that it is the best engine, we don't have NCAA Football XX anymore so it will have to do. I have simulated these games based on the weather history at Wunderground.com. Now, from the last post, the first four games of the playoff. So, I'm starting a new blog series. I love MLB the Show... so much so that I'm trying to think of ways to have fun while keeping the game fresh. Every year, people ask what team they should start out with in franchise, and a lot of it (besides being a contender/ cellar dweller or having money) has to do with how the team and its stadium looks. If you live in Texas, you know that when August rolls around two things are going to happen. One, it's going to be very sticky and extremely hot, and two, the new edition of Madden NFL Football from EA Sports is going to hit the shelf. Usually, the summer heat around this time makes me want to take the month of August off indoors, but July showers and a mild summer have been a welcome change.
