Its not often in sports gaming we find something unexpected, something out of left field so to speak...What with player ratings and breakdowns posted on every site out there weeks before game launches, there often seems to be very little mystery left in a title once its in our hands.

Enter James White.

While having these types of thoughts, a mystical thing happened over the course of my season in NBA 2K9 that shook the foundations of what i had come to expect from the game....That thing goes by the name of James White. Some of you may already know him, or even use him in your season, I sure as hell didn't when I randomly drafted him from free agency.

What i saw on the stats sheet was a player who had decent size for his position, average defender, and incredible vertical ability....what i didn't see was how he would perform on the court!

Then The Strangeness Began

Through his first 3 or so games, coming off the bench, it seemed as if this role player had found a new role, as a 3 point marksman! With a rating of around 70 for 3's, and perhaps the ugliest jumpshot in the game, I could hardly believe my eyes as he would go 5/5, 4/4, and even one great night 7/8!

Since those first few games, James White has become my most effective and deadliest go to 3 point guy, averaging at least 3 made 3 pointers per game.

Now I don't know if something has gone haywire, or the stars have just aligned for this man, but something truly special is taking place in my 2K9 season, and J dubya as i call him has invigorated my team.

Im curious if anyone else out there has such mystical happenings going on in their game to speak on, holla back if you have anything of the sort!
