Here, Gone....Here Again

In case you haven't been up to date on the mini circus of Darnell Williams here is a quick breakdown of what happened.

We start out at the beginning of an NBA Career where Darnell Williams @shady on twitter gets drafted 11th overall by the Charlotte Hornets. Regulated to a bench role the talented rookie is just getting his feet wet in the NBA while juggling a complicated private life � and it doesn�t start out as a good fairy tale story. The owner is fed up with his friends Victors antics and Darnell is sticking by his friend because that�s what friends do, but Vic has thrown some salt on the organization and some players and it�s just not working out how it�s supposed to be. The owner wants Darnell to quit supporting his friend and pay more attention to the team and as much as Darnell is giving he just isn�t giving it his all. You hear players say they give 110% well at this moment he is probably at 95% and that is not enough in the eyes of the organization. As much as they like him and as much as he likes the city they think it�s best they both move on.
Year 2 free agency hits and there is a lot of interest in this rising star out of Harlem the 3 teams that are interested are the NY Knicks, Phoenix Suns and believe it or not the Charlotte Hornets. Darnell believes it�s best if he starts over and just gets off of the east coast as he negotiates hard with Charlotte to see how much they like him they pull their offer off the table and it is between the Knicks and Suns. As stated earlier he already had in mind just going out west and starting a new career and he inked a 2 year deal with the Phoenix Suns. However, that night of the press conference and signing Darnell had gotten word that his best friend had died in a car accident. Stunned and hurt basketball was the last thing on his mind, but he already committed to the suns and he was on his way out west to try and help the rebuilding suns get back to where they were in the late 90�s.
Long and behold Darnell Williams is now back in Charlotte running with the starters and has taken the league by storm. This is not the same (Shady) Williams that we seen out in Phoenix he feels at home he feels comfortable with his surroundings and more importantly he seems comfortable with his team mates and the game of basketball.
