This is a collection of all the ideas I've posted on the forums, including some ideas suggested by others that I agreed with.

Gameplay and Animations

-The collision detection animations look really weird in post-play cutscenes (especially after PATs and FGs). It makes the players look really dumb to be stumbling over each other when they get too close. Would it be possible to have collision detection like Assassin’s Creed for those times? Meaning, have the players brace themselves and move around each other when they get too close instead of tripping over each other.

-Specific challenges--give us a choice what to challenge. Also, when the challenge is happening, show the coaches on either side of the screen with the replay in the middle, like they do in real broadcasts. Then, have the ref giving the decision replace the replay in the middle, and show both coach's reactions. That would be awesome.

-Animated jerseys that move independently (so there can be the possibility of a scenario where the defender uses the qb's jersey to make the sack, or after a sack, the quarterback's jersey would be pushed off his pads. I think this would be a pretty cool aspect if this could be included in the future.)

-Helmets being knocked off (Also, a small cutscene idea: If a guy gets his helmet knocked off during the play it would be cool to see him picking the helmet up and putting it back on).

-Real-Time Physics
-Please get rid of, or improve the animation where a defender tries to break up the pass and tackles the receiver in mid-air. It looks like the receiver is giving the defender a piggy-back ride. It doesn’t look natural at all.

-lots of catching animations, both two and one handed. Also, make the “spectacular catches” more spectacular

-In order to make more two and one-handed animations play, it would be awesome if we could have player tendencies for whether they go for the ball one handed or two handed more.

-One of the things I think would be sweet is 'second-chance' animations. Examples: a player gets tripped up or flipped into the air, but catches himself before his knee hits the ground, so he is able to keep going. These second-chance animations should only happen on occasion and with players with high agility and awareness.

-1. A ‘tip’ button (or something like it-to have more user control)-if a ball is over or under thrown, the receiver can reach to try and tip it to himself (I think this would be cool to have as a once in a while thing-I was thinking of that play where Joe Jurevicious tipped it to himself in the end zone when I thought of this feature):

-Also, it would be awesome to have the ability to lateral the ball at any time, including when the player is airborne:

-Arm tracking. Basically, take the head tracking idea and apply it to arms.

-Take weather effects even further (fog; snow having imprints of more than just feet (i.e. also of bodies and the football), raindrops bouncing off the helmets of the players). Varying difficulty with varying weather. The harder it snows/rains, the harder it is to play.

Presentation

-Different broadcast styles (openings, tickers, stat overlays, replay angles, etc) depending on the night.

-Add a sideline reporter

More emotion from broadcast team; also, the color guy (Collinsworth) should be talking more. He should be talking about most of the things that the tickers talk about (e.g.-when a ticker is shown, it would be cool if that would trigger corresponding commentary from Collinsworth) There shouldn’t really ever be a long moment when the broadcast team is not talking, even if the user is taking a long time to snap the ball. Most of it ought to come from Collinsworth, though there should be some responses from Gus Johnson to what Collinsworth is saying. Have some banter between them. That’s why the commentary sounds so robotic to me-because it just sounds like they are taking turns saying stuff without responding to what the other one says. Johnson should be saying more than just the play-by-play. He should respond to some of the things Collinsworth says. I think that could help solve the robotic commentary.

-More interesting sideline characters- Coaches and players running along the sideline on long plays, entire sideline emptying onto the field after the Superbowl. Please do more than just the low-res guys who just stand there. One of the coolest animations I have seen was in All-Pro 2K8 (I'm not even much of a 2K fan) when I ran an INT back for a TD, the guys on the sideline were jumping up and down and running along the sideline with me. This would add so much to the atmosphere of the game. Please consider adding something like this.

- Ability to add custom sounds/cheers like MLB The Show and NCAA so people could have the chants/cheers they want in the game.

-Incorporate NFL Films

-The “Extra Point” halftime show in “Play Now” needs some work. Please add some commentary and analysis to the highlights being shown. Show the highlights in more broadcast angles in addition to highlights with the “wire” angle.

Features

-Customization, customization, customization-as much as possible with everything.

-More in-depth create-a-player. Please add a face-morphing technology a la MLB The Show. If not, please give us the ability to choose what hair and facial hair we want and what color the hair and eyes are.

-Playstation Eye Compatibility for Create-a-Player.

-Please let us edit the players after we have created them. Also, please let us edit the existing NFL players’ builds if we desire.

-Eye black (with different styles) and mouth guards

-A lot of customization of equipment (positioning of towels, positioning of wristbands-i.e., not just on wrists or elbows, let us pinpoint where we want them on the arm.

-loose sleeves. Many NFL players wear them.

-This is really minor, but a 15-20 letter limit for create-a-player names instead of only a 10 letter limit.

-NFL logos in Create-a-Team. It would be awesome if the NFL would allow that.

-A lot more generic logos to choose from in Create-a-Team or A logo creator akin to Microsoft Paint (i.e., shapes and colors to choose from, etc).

-TeamBuilder in Madden.

-Classic Stadiums

-Retro equipment-not just throwback jerseys and helmet decals; give us old-school helmet styles and facemasks, etc. too.

-A uniform editor option similar to that in create-a-team, but for the NFL teams. That would be pretty cool. And add more options to it such as changing the size of the logo and width of stripes, etc.

-Please see my Customization Wishlist for more detail on player customization.

-Custom Cameras-maybe even First Person View (as just an option-maybe even only for replays)

- More in-depth Post-game Highlight Show: Again the NFL Films idea

-Ability to add our own music to the game soundtrack

Cutscene Ideas

-More players/staff in the sideline cutscenes.

-Though it is a great cutscene, the chain measurement cutscene ought to be done with the broadcast camera angle to look more like they do on TV.

-Ref deliberation, and ref penalty explanation.

-Guys clearing the snow off the yard lines.

-Player picking up his helmet after it was knocked off

-QB putting his jersey back over his pads after a sack

-Show the injured player trying to rehab on the sidelines. Injury-specific cutscenes (Example-I was playing in a game and LT got a broken jaw. It would be cool to have a cutscene of a trainer examining his jaw)

-Sideline reporter

-Cheerleaders

-After touchdowns, have the player who scored celebrate into the camera sometimes.

-After a player makes a big play, show him sitting on the sidelines watching himself on the jumbotron replay, and then boasting about himself into the camera.

**-This would be awesome-Cutscene of Hammond and Collinsworth themselves. Broadcasts do this all the time during games. It is mostly at the beginning and halftime. Make the cutscene of Hammond and Collinsworth part of the half-time presentation leading into the “Extra Point” show, and also part of the post-game wrap-up.

-More than one variation of each cutscene.
