Yeah, yeah, I know what you're saying... This request has been around a long time, but I don't hear much about it anymore. And I miss it. Play art is that old-fashioned technical drawing aspect to sports that's been around since lava cooled and formed the Earth's crust. It's an aspect to football gaming that I miss, going back several millennia.

Used to be, I could start a game, get into the editor, and change the depth of the slant to something more akin to a skinny post. Maybe take ... Read More

Despite the deadline being passed there are still waiver wire deals that could and maybe should be made. The Marlins made a deal to get Javier Guerra. After a few really good starts and 2 wins, he fractures his head on a comebacker and is done for the season, perhaps his career. Miami is 61-57 and 10.5 gb in the East and 5 gb in the WC. There are a few options, MIL Garza etc but I don't think they will be willing to make deals again.

The Cubs lead the Cards by 4.5 games in the NL ... Read More

JULY: 40-65 (12-13) last 23 gb last in AL 28th MLB rank 23rd

With having not been able to deal our high priced but aging stars we now will focus on deal in the off season. We are now almost tanking to get the top five pick we need to build up our farm system.

Zimmermann is having an awesome year for the worst team in the AL. He is 8-5, 2.94 Norris, VerHagen and Boyd are all 5+ era. RP BLaine Hardy is the only sub 4 era (only 1 other sub 5) and that is because he is ... Read More

After a lot of deliberation I decided not to trade anyone at the deadline. Iglessias and Upton are hurt and not exactly playing like all stars. It would be relatively easy to just make trades with Verlander, Cabrera, V Mart etc, and get back really good prospects. However, I don't think there is much of a challenge in that. Some of the contracts like Cabrera and JV are for a long time and that may come back to haunt us. However, if they are legit performing next season I'll give it a look. JV is ... Read More

As a 29 year old male who primarily plays sports video games, I think the time has finally come for me to realize that the aspects I once loved about sports games are quickly fading away. I've always been one for the franchise and MyLeague experiences. Personally, I have always had more fun creating a custom league and playing against the CPU or other human players within a season in which the wins matter within that one season. With the recent release of Madden 18 I felt robbed by EA. I've been ... Read More

We are just a few days away from the 2017 trading deadline and several teams have some tough decisions to make. This is were we stand as far as buyers and sellers:

With the fast approaching July 31 trading deadline the Tigers are in an all hands on deck front office mentality. The team has the worst record in the AL and second worst in baseball and are trying to jettison the contracts of aging stars. The problem? They make too much money.
Miguel Cabrera has bounced back from a terrible April to post a current .293 avg with 14 HR. Surely a contendor could use him on the corners or at DH. He has a 7 year deal that starts at $19.7 M and ends at $26.4 ... Read More
