The first score of the 3rd quarter goes to Deangelo Williams on a 1 yard run for 6, the score is 38-13 Rams lead. John Skelton connects with David Clowney for 6 from 76yds out, the score is 38-20 Rams lead. Lawrence Tynes kicks a FG for 3 from 28yds away, the score is 41-20 Rams lead. END OF 3rd QUARTER. The first score of the 4th quarter is a pass from John Skelton to Sinorice Moss for a 58yd TD, the score is 41-27 Rams lead. Jacoby Ford takes a kick return 89yds to the house for 6, the score is 48-27 Rams lead. Lawrence Tynes kicks a FG from 38 yds out for 3, the score is 51-27 Rams lead. John Skelton connects with Sinorice Moss for 6 from 3yds out, score is 51-33 Rams lead. END OF GAME. This is the first time this season I can say I am proud of my players on both offense and defense and even one player in particular on special teams. We all in all creamed a team with better players, better record, and overall better chances of winning but we close out the preseason 2-2 and set off for the regular season where we prove that this season we came to play and we mean business… our first game is against offensive leader Adrian Peterson, defensive leader Adrian Wilson, and the Arizona Cardinals.

Wow… another stunning loss making this the second in the preseason and second of my description to you guys. Well Once again we have to recover and quick going 1-3 in preseason is just unacceptable and must not happen. This week we have QB Tom Brady and the outstanding 2-1 Ravens. The Ravens have a stacked offense led by Tom Brady and a veteran receiving core. Hopefully the loss of their second string running back Correll Buckhalter will slow down the running game a bit. As the end of the preseason approaches I am starting to think I made a mistake choosing veterans to lead this defense through the season as the only veteran doing great so far is Brian Dawkins as Ray Lewis is getting too old and slow to hit the holes in time. The Ravens defense is led by ROLB Terrell Suggs as he is a powerhouse when it comes to stopping the run game but I am hoping he has a bad game and Ray Rice can find spaces in this defense to exploit for big gains.

Drew Brees hooks up with Marques Colston for 6 from 7yds away, score is 21-14 Patriots lead. Hand off to Arian Foster goes for 73 yards and 6, score is 28-14 Patriots lead. Deangelo Williams rushes it in again but this time from only 5 yards out, score is 28-21 Patriots lead. Drew Brees connects with Donald Driver for 6, the score is 28-28 tie game. HALFTIME. To start off the 3rd quarter Antrel Rolle pick sixes it from 92 yards away, score is 35-28 Patriots lead. Another pick six but this time by Bobby McCray, score is 42-28 Patriots lead. Billy Volek connects with Donald Driver for 6 from 26yds out, score is 42-35 Patriots lead. Billy Volek hooks up with Jacoby Ford for 6 from 44yds way, score is 42-42 tie game. Hand off to C.J. Spiller for 6 from 1yd out, score is 49-42 Patriots lead. END OF GAME. Final Score 49-42 Patriots win and go 2-1 in preseason… while we see the Ram fall once again to an unlikely opponent. Lets see if they can gather themselves together for the last game of preseason and continue into the regular season with a win in the last game.

Fort Collins, CO -- Carlos Washington was on fire today, as he found opening after opening in leading Colorado State to an easy win over Utah State 65-7.

Washington had 22 carries for 268 yards and 3 touchdowns. His 4th quarter replacement Chris Nwoke added 2 touchdowns and 77 yards. "I wanted the home crowd to really get into it. I found an opening early in the 1st and ran 50 yards to the touchdown, and the rest of the game was more of that. We were so far ahead that I think by the beginning of the 4th when I left the game the majority of the crowd had disappeared. I know it'll be a good homecoming party tonight after a team performance like this." Washington commented on the game.

Freshman Safety Keith Harper is looking like a great recruit as he had 9 tackles, 1 for a loss and added another interception today. "I wasn't the highest rated coming out of highschool and I was determined to work hard all summer to prove any doubters wrong. I knew I had a chance to start right away, and I think I've shown that I belong at this level."

Not all was good news for the Rams today though and Jr QB Pete Thomas was injured in the 2nd quarter and went for X-rays only to find out he has a couple broken ribs and could miss the remainder of the season again, after he only played a couple games last season too.

"I knew the guys would be fired up for homecoming this week, but I didn't think we would play such a well rounded game like we did. Washington was unstopable with the ball today and Nwoke wasn't far behind when it was his turn with the offense. I'm saddend by the news that Pete Thomas could miss the remainder of the season for the second year in a row. I wish him the best of luck in getting better and hopefully he can work hard and make it back out on the field this year." CSU coach Drew Gill commented after the game.

For his performance Washington was named MWC offensive player of the week.

I am stunned after a heartbreaking loss to the Browns in last weeks game. This Week we have the Patriots who are also coming off a tough loss. The Patriots look tough with offensive leaders like QB Donovan McNabb and WR Roddy White. Their defense is another solid piece of their team lead by MLB Curtis Lofton and LOLB Clay Matthews... Lets see how our struggling rush offense can match up against these 2 powerhouses. After last week I am evaluating every player to the tee to see who is here to play and who isnt.

Running Back (Speed), * * * * *
Dallas, Texas (Lincoln HS)
Ht: 5'9
Wt: 168
Ovr Rating: 84

College Choices:

Colorado - interest: high
UCLA - interest: high
Southern Cal - interest: high
Texas - interest: medium
Oklahoma State - interest: medium
Florida - interest: medium
Oklahoma - interest: low
Georgia - interest: low

Speed: As Good As It Gets
Size: Division I Player
Strength: Division I Player
Agility: Blue Chip
Elusiveness: As Good As It Gets

On the Hoof:
Womack is a quick-twitched, fast running back who catches well out of the backfield and operates well in space. He reminds us of USC signee Dillon Baxter and Oklahoma commit Roy Finch.
Needs Improvement: The speedy back has lots of trouble breaking free from tacklers, often failing to get past the first or second defender he makes contact with. He'll have to get stronger and bigger in order to become an every-down back.
Most Impressive: He has a chance to score every time he touches the ball. A true home run threat, Womack can score on outside runs, screen plays, wheel routes, kick returns and punt returns. He also has great hands and could play slot receiver if he chose to.
Conclusion: Womack has a very good chance of taking the starting spot at whatever school he attends, excluding Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. If he doesn't get a lot of carries, he will be presented opportunities in the passing game in order to get involved.

Coach Greene or as his players call him Coach Greenie, is the new head coach of the Texas State Bobcats. The Texas State Bobcats are coming off a 9-20 season with a 4-12 record in Southland Conference. "We hope to improve on last year's record" said Coach Greenie "We have a strong group back, and a few freshmen who can make an impact."

The key for this year's team will be the play of Brandon Bush. Brandon Bush is a 6-7 junior guard and was the leading scorer on last year's 9-20 squad averaging 14.4 points a game. "Brandon can be a huge part of this team's success this year." said coach Greenie. "I just hope that I can be a big part of this team's turnaround." said Brandon Bush.

Other key players for this year's team are senior guard Brent Holder, junior forward Dylan Mosley and two freshmen Ryan White and Cameron Johnson. "Brent and Dylan will be used in many roles on this team." said Coach Greenie "They are both good shooters and can be used off the bench or as a starter effectively." On the two freshmen Coach Greenie said "Their games are very different. Ryan can be used as a combo guard and is a great shooter. Cameron is a smart player and is good at driving to the hoop."

Coach Greenie hopes that this team can become a contender in the Southland Conference, and is expecting it. "We should be better than last year," said Coach Greenie.

I plan on posting the results of my legacy here. I am using the Texas State Bobcats. I am about 18 games in so, for the games that are already play I will just do a short recap and a box score. Once this thread is caught up to the legacy the post will be more in-depth.

Rams Get Trampled by the Browns...

The Browns started the Game with the ball but on a great play by starting DE Adewale Ogunleye he picked the ball off and ran it in for 6. Midway through the 1st quarter Kevin Smith rushed it in from the 1yd line for 6. Deangelo Williams rushes in for 6 from the 5 yard line. Another 6 for the Rams as Drew Brees connects with Marques Colston on a 15yd pass. At the end of the 1st quarter the score is 21-7 Rams lead. To start the 2nd Kevin Smith rushes it in again for 6 from 1yd away. Mark Sanchez hooks up with Andre Johnson for a 26yd TD pass. Ricky Williams rushes it in from 5yds away for 6. Ricky Williams rushes for another 6 this time from 30yds away. Drew Brees Hooks up again with Marques Colston for 6 but this time from 70yds away. At the end of the 2nd quarter the score is 35-28 Browns Lead. To start the 3rd quarter Billy Volek hooks up with Heath Miller for 6 on a 3yd pass. Ray Rice gets 6 as he rushes it in from 10yds away. At the end of the 3rd quarter the score is 42-35 Rams Lead. To start the 4th quarter Kevin Smith gets another 6 but this time from 30yds out. 42yd field goal made by Robbie Gould. Kevin Smith rushes for 6 from 24 yards out. At the end of the game the score is 52-42 Browns walk away with the W and a 1-1 record. As for the Rams they will need to practice hard… I liked what I saw out of the first string this time and the second string just let the team down.
