Video Cards???
I assume that at least some of you on this board know something about graphics cards. One of my friends is building my a computer and I need to know which graphics card to choose from. I do't have enough money to buy Radeon's 9800 or 9700 or the Geforce 5800. Basically I only can put a Radeon or Geforce in the computer. So excluding those models what is the best Graphics card I can buy?

Radeon 9600 is $199 and is right now considered to be the best "bang for the buck" in video cards.

I have not used the Geforce 5800 but have had numerous issues with other Geforce cards. Asherons Call in paticular seems to have alot of trouble running with Geforce cards.

I've seen the GeForce 4 ti 4200 w/ 128 MB RAM for about a $100. IMO, that's the best bang for your buck. (

GeForceFX 5200... 128 MB RAM, AGP 8x-4x, 1280 x 1024 max resolution, 8x Anisotropic Filtering (basically 64-tap), and goes up to 4xS Anti-Aliasing. Not a bad buy at $120-$199.
