Advice on buying 18yr Excellent MF
I scanned the Transfer List and a player caught my eye. I am thinking about pulling the trigger on him and the current bid price stands at $66k. I want to buy him but I also want to be extra sure that I don't over pay for him. I need your opinions on whats the max I should put in to get this guy? Where should I stop at if I get into a bidding war.

Let me know if you think this guy is over priced, under priced, or just a good buy. Thanks |

Market price for an 18yo excellent is in excess on 400K.
Odds are this guy just popped and is a low excellent, but anything less than 200K would be a huge steal. |

I agree with you vex, most of the times when you see players that much under the market price, the bid fight will explode with only a few minutes to go till the deadline... FM

I found the guy. His bid is now $110,000. I'm going to guess he'll sell for between $250,000 and $350,000.

Do you think he is still worth the buy? I do train MF's and I wouldn't mind having him for my qualification game. I am a little hesitant as I don't want to over pay. Thanks |

I think he'll end up going for closer to $300,000.
Do I think he's worth that much? Possibly. It depends on how much that cash hit would hurt you. Having said that, a 17 year old solid at the start of next season would be worth more to me because you could have him reach formidable or even outstanding by 19 while this guy most likely will still be excellent at the end of the season, and thus turn 19 between seasons. The only difference is whether you NEED this guy now, or you can wait for someone better to come along through training. Keep in mind he's only putting up 2.5* right now. Also, being controversial he'll probably knock your TS down. I guess the short answer is that it depends how much and why exactly you need him. This all depends exactly on how much the bidding intensifies that last half hour. |

Piece of advice Alf.
Wait till the start of next season on him, when prices are peaked. |

Coffee - He'll be 19 when next season starts (but would have received 2 extra weeks of stamina training too).
