not bad, but the site possibly holds the record for most pop-ups on a non-porn website

Okay some strategy so far
once you get the temple you can drop guy in the castle. Only one in the yellow light at a time I think these can be turned into your helpers. Once you get the archery range click on the red flag to buy men you have converted. 16 men cost you about 2600 per round.

you have to get the last item. That allows you to create mages which can insta kill them
I made it too about level 19 But you lose your archers and stuff when they attack the walls. So I gave up

Pretty fun waste of time. Just to summarize (from my one game of experience):
Once you get a temple, drop guys in it to convert them. Only one can convert at a time, so don't drop more than that (I tried it and wondered why so many guys were knocking on my wall). Once you see your convert, click on an appropriate flag to turn him into that unit (archer, craftsman, wizard). Craftsmen tend to be pretty important later on when you're getting rushed by lots of guys. I never bought the demolition place, probably should've at some point. At stage 14, you have giants that come to knock down your walls. They can't be picked up so you either need to hope your archers kill them, use your demolition place (presumably since I didn't have one), or use your wizard kill spells to kill them (after you get wizards, pressing 1 turns your pointer to a skull which will kill the next unit you click). The thing I didn't figure out is sometimes you lose your units in between stages, but I couldn't figure out the patern of when you'd lose them. If this happens towards the end, as happened to me, you are toast, because you'll have no fast way to kill the giants and they'll rip down your walls in a hurry. Thanks Easy Mac, 'twas fun. JAG |

I got bored by about round five or so... just took too long to ramp up to anything interesting. The forecast of sore wrists was enough to get me to bail.

GoldenEagle, sorry for not posting a link. AT&T sent this to its users through their site. I've been having a lot of internet trouble this week, including not being able to google. Perhaps you can help out and google for 'panicware pop-up stopper'?

By the way, if any of you are interested in defending a castle, I would highly recommend Medieval Total War.

Just in case anyone cares:
I think the key is to buy in order a temple and a mana pool. Save all your points, buy a temple ASAP, and then a mana pool ASAP. Make sure you have enough points, 200 per, to support the amount of wizards you're going to crank out (e.g. you have 2000 points left over after buying the mana pool, don't buy more than 10 wizards because they'll die when the next round is over). After you buy a temple, convert as many guys as you can and save them up until you get the mana pool (converts cost nothing to support until you turn them into something). As soon as you get the mana pool, buy as many wizards as you can support. Use the 2 key to cut down on the wrist pain. Continue until your wizards can start converting the people themselves using the 3 button. Now you can start converting masses of the enemy at a time when you're not toasting them using the 2 key. Feel free to buy an archery and archers which will cut down on the wrist usage even moreso. Get up to at least 100 wizards, archers, and craftsmen. Build your castle up some yadda yadda yadda. Go up to about 500 archers and now you can let it run in the background and do something more productive.JAG |
