Atlanta police closed I-285 northbound below I-20 between Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Cascade Road after two bodies fell into the roadway after 1 p.m. today

Atlanta homicide detectives were sent to the scene. It is unclear whether the deaths were accidental.

A spokesman for the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office said investigators have confirmed the bodies were those of a man anmd a woman, but no further details were available.

Atlanta poliice radio dispatch said at least one person had been seen walking on the railroad overpass shortly before the fatalities were reported.
