Requisite "Did I overpay

Since it is the end of the year, I thought I'd risk overpaying for a potentially quick possible trainee.

I picked up this guy for $25K

Pedro Satterfield (14228629)
19 years, passable form, healthy

A sympathetic guy who is tranquil and honest.
Has disastrous experience and inadequate leadership abilities.

I'm a little crowded in the midfield for training (I think I've got 9 main trainees now, with 3 guys who are either too old or are my wingers, but aren't their train, but to patrol the wing.), but I think I can make room for him. I think I could get him to bump 1-2 levels in PM by the end of the year, and make some decent money off of it.

What do you think.

I also picked up a Passable PM and a solid scorer for 81K. He'll be 27 next year, but I think my best middie will retire soon, and he'll be my best forward, so I'm not mad at perhaps overpaying for him.

I would assume that a big part of his 54k value comes from the passable scoring, so he might not be as close to popping to passable playmaking as you'd think. For that reason and the fact that he will be 20 in a week, thus will take 10 weeks to pop with a solid coach, I would say it will be very close if you pop him two levels of PM by the end of the year... Not a bad buy, but not necessarily worth the 25k for me, especially with wretched passing...

thanks, if all else fails, I can probably offload him to a newbie around the beginning of the year for some profit, more than likely. No big deal, 25K won't break me.

His passing really hurts his value as well (as either a forward or IM trainee).
