Do you write bad Dynasties?

I personally am the king of bad Dynasties. Honestly, can anyone remember a dynasty I actually wrote? Not including my Hattrick Dynasty or the current dynasty? Most of my Dynasties only last a few days at most. And when I do enjoy writing one, no-one seems interested. Ah such is life I guess.

Should I point out that six of us have said "yes" and only one has said "no"?

Does this mean we all have esteem problems/overly modest or that the quality of work on the dynasty board just isn't that good?

I stopped writing dynasties on the forum itself and went to storing them on my website. That got old after while and I quit adding to that as well, so I guess I'm a YES, I write bad dynasties.
Hopefully once I get the NASCAR sim database working I'll have some good stuff to show off.

someday

I think judging by the response my 2 previous dynasties received, I wouldn't say they were bad, but they weren't exactly good or hotly anticipated either like QuikSand's Lincoln dynasty (which I'm glad to see back).

I'm a decent writer, but I tend to leave out details because I don't write a lot of stuff down.

I've attempted to start a half-dozen dynasties, but I convince myself to forget about it because I don't have a writing style that would make my dynasty compelling. I'm much more of a stats guys and I could fill up posts with stats, but the act of translating my thoughts into decent copy is where I fail.

Dola...

It is impressive that we have more members with trout in their rectum than good dynasty writers.

I used to write a number of dynasties, but could never get any interest, so I must be a bad writer of them!

I wonder what percentage of dynasties ever actually get "completed". It has to be very low.

What is completed? The sim games don't really ever have an end unless you get fired or soemthing of the like.

I agree. That, and I don't want to spend the time getting that deeply into what has already happened, when I'm ready to move forward with the game. I lacked the willpower to put a sufficient amount of detail into it to make it interesting for anyone (including me) to read.

I tried, and I sucked. I don't think I even went public with any of it, because I quit so soon after I started.

Some dynasties have specified goals. I guess probably the anti-dynasties usually have more concrete goals - run a team out of town, destroy a team from the inside, save the world from aliens, etc. I guess a lot of them are open-ended though.

I managed to make it through a few threads worth of an Army TCY dynasty that no one read, but I just got sick of TCY in general for a while and stopped. I thought about a "house-building" real life dynasty, but figured that would be too boring. If I can figure out a way to work it, I might try an interactive Tiger Woods dynasty where people sign up and I sim everything for a tour season / career (like the excellent NASCAR racing league).

With the 5 or 6 new entries a day, your post count will skyrocket.
