Wink The "MLB has a Baserunning Bug" Play

So I'm watching the Cardinals trounce the San Juan Expos in the cozy Montreal Mausoleum (population 6,000), when a strange event occurred that made my sports sim brain kick into gear.

Speedy Bo Hart was on second, and JD Drew bangs a long, high fly ball off the center field wall. He saunters into second base with an easy double and obvious RBI...but wait! Bo knows tagging up, and apparently thinking the ball would be caught, tags up and only makes it to third base before the relay throw comes in. No RBI.

Now how many times have you seen a situation with a runner on second, a double, and then runners on second and third? I know it does occasionally happen, but it's the type of thing that we'd all probably freak out on if we saw it in OOTP or some other baseball sim. Kind of amusing...

I prefer football over baseball any day but, one thing I gotta give to baseball is that, if you think you've seen everything. You haven't. Just take the example you gave and add in Muellers 2 grand slams yesterday...

Lonnie Smith was always good for a baserunning play like that when he played....

Yesterday's play where Eddie Perez scored from 2nd base on a wild pitch could result in some broken monitors if it happened in a baseball sim too.
