What is your Cup goal this season?

How far do you think/hope your team can get in the Cup this season?

I was hoping for Round 4 again. It might prove difficult though as I've drawn the Arkham Avengers next week and also have my toughest league opponent next Sunday. Fortunately both games are at home, but I have no idea which game to use my best defenders for, and that could make the difference in terms of winning and losing both. Last year I had a patsy in Round 3

I almost know for a fact that I'll be in Round 4 since I'll be playing my starters against someones trainees or BAD starters in round 3.

My goal though is to make it to Round 5, one round above last year.

My goal is to make it through to round 5. A full 4 rounds higher than last year.

I got a shitty draw last year and drew a D IV team when my team was all of 3 weeks old. This year things have evened out, after beatting two bot teams, I have a weak D V team. I should be able to PIC and beat him as well. I'll be PIC'ing through the first half of my league games, so I'm hoping to pull off an upset in round 4 to advance to round 5.

I am pretty sure I can make round 4. I play GM-Spidurman in the cup, but have a very easy league game this sunday. I think he reads here so I don't want to give away too much, but I am going to play my back ups in the league game with a PIC and my starters in the Cup with a PIC. Probably offensive.

After knocking out 2 division IV teams (i'm division V in France), I am now facing a division II team next week.

Should I surrender now ?

I have no goal, really. I plan on keeping on playing my starters and PICing, when I'll be out, I'll be out...

The most realistic goal for FrogMan here would be round 3, as he plays next. :P

The only thing I can say is "hope for injuries"... My B-squad still has at least one decent sub though, and I've also got the rest of them as those $2k (canadian $) scrubs.

Oh and by the way, my goal is the 6th round as well. I did it last season PICing each game.

FrogMan invited me here by the way. I don't know if I'll be as active here as I am on the actual HT conferences but I'll see what I can do. Lots of people here I recognize.

I already beat my goal, which was to get to round 2 since I was in DVI and knew I would be at home in round 2 and figured I would lose.

I won, however, so I end my run getting bashed next wednesday, but with monies from 2 home games.

edit for leaving out letter

I'd like to get to round 4, I play a team moderately better than me this week, and I'm MOTSing (nothing really to play for in my series, I'm neither promoting nor demoting). I figure to play a team ludicrously better than me in Round 4, ending my run.

I'm hoping 4th round. Playing my A-squad due to an easy Sunday game, so hoepfully the PIC in the Cup can get me a win. It will be a competitive game at least.

I was knocked out in Round 2 last year. This year I'd like to make it into round 4, but I'm PIC'ing the Cup matches.

This is my first Cup so anything is cherry at this point. I'd love to get to Round 4 so that I can host two games.

Hey, hey, look who's here. Looks like I'm done stating my great strategy plans for my next cup match...

I just hope you meant "hope for no injuries" above, as I find it a bit sadistical to hear somebody he hopes for injuries

Welcome aboard Brandon. If you plan on being the least bit active around here, post your team info in the sticky thread (officialish list of FOFC teams, or whatever it's called)... Once you've done that I'll add your team to our rankings...

Are you the flying condors?

Fear not, most of my most valuable players are goalie trainees. I have four of them, and I can only play one at a time.

I played the flying condors in the 3rd round of the cup last season.

That is kind of ironic.

I play a DIV IV team that could thrash me with his A teamers, but to where he is in league play I don't think he will. I am hoping he b teams me an PIC.

If so, my A Team will whip his arse and I will move to Round 4 which I want

I'm the home team playing, I really don't think I stand a chance in round 3, so I'm putting my starters in and either PIC'ing (to guarantee the loss) or normal'ing (to maybe have a slight chance to win, much more likely if my OPPONENT PIC's).

I made it to 4 last season without having a clue of what I was doing, but I think I had an "easier" trip because I finished number 1 in my series in season 18, whereas I finished 3rd in my series in season 19. I'm ok with 3 this time.

The farthest I've ever reached is the 4th round, but...

...I am focusing on the cup this season. I am hoping for at least 2 home matches. By my estimation, that means I'll have to make it to round 8 or so... so I chose round 9

I pulled off 2 straight amazing upsets to get to round 5 last year. I'm not expecting anything remotely like that again, but due to my league walkover schedule, I'll be betting on another round 5 appearance.

6 would be nice, but I seriously doubt it.

I was hoping to go to round 4, but this week I face a division 4 team that put up a solid midfield in their last cup match.

Time to use my MOTS!

I am already out at round 2. Guess PICing with my B-squad did not make it (and a poor midfield rating...). Nevermind, The 2 PICs were great for TS !
