Question Strategy Question (MOTS/PIC)

Here's my situation...

I'm in a pretty weak D5 series. The number one team is clearly the best team (recently demoted from D4). The #2 team is slightly better than I am. I'd put myself as the third best team with 2 other teams close in talent but they don't seem to be very active and often field incomplete teams. The rest are bot teams.

In the 2nd week, I play the #2 team. I'm out of the cup, he's still in. He played his starters in the cup this week and I'm guessing he will again this week. He doesn't seem to concentrate much on strategy since he's still playing a 4-4-2, mostly he has just brought in 3 or 4 good talent players.

My current TS is POE. The next two weeks after the upcoming matches I play bot teams that I can PIC. I'm trying to decide if I should MOTS this league match and go for the victory over the team slightly better than me that may be playing some backups or should I just play it normal?

If I MOTS him, would I be able to get my TS back up over the following 2 weeks by PICing the bot teams in time for a match with a human ran team (one of the lesser teams)?

You won't get it back up to POE but you should be atleasted satisfied for you next real league match.
