Angry Think you had a bad day?

Where am I right now? At the office.

Where was I supposed to be right now, had things worked out? Las Vegas. My flight would have landed oh, about 2 hours ago.

Where would I have been till Monday? Las Vegas. Where will I be? At the office.

(I felt the need to rant and rave. I deserve it.)

Please provide more information. Did Las Vegas explode? Did you super-glue yourself to your chair? Have the monkeys landed?

What else? Money.

Flights out to Vegas were outrageous, and after running the numbers, I just couldn't spend that kinda money. Still too fresh off of 8 months of unemployment to feel comfortable dropping that kinda cash.

What C.W. also left out is that it is a pain in the ass to fly out of the Quad Cities. He would have to get a plane to St. Louis to Vegas, and it is almost twice as much as flying direct from Chicago to Vegas.

I'm originally from that area, and it stinks living in the sticks sometimes.

Eh. I usually fly out of Peoria or just drive up to O'Hare. Usually there's a layover in DIA (denver int'l airport), which is probably the best airport I've ever been to.

2 years ago, my flight cost me 200 some bucks round trip.

This year, the CHEAPEST flight I could find that was close to the times I wanted was over 400. Ridiculous.

That's true, you are pretty close to Peoria. I'm from Savanna, which is 1 hr. north of the QC. Therefore, the QC would be the only alternative.

Hey, it stinks that you cannot go. Besides, you should wait for football season anyhow. I recommend going during the WS and see a football/baseball. I was there all day for football, and then for Game 7 of the World Series. That was the best day I have had in Vegas, though I lost a little money.

I'm flying from Madison WI, to Los Angeles on Saturday, round trip for $300. My brother is picking me up in LA and we're headed to Vegas for my 21st on Monday.

Vegas is overrated anyways.

(though trying the "Fox and the Grapes" might help)

Watch what your saying buddy.

Vegas fucking rocks!!!

Every job listing I see there, given my current state of unemployment, I'm tempted to beg, plead and grovel until hired.

Two jobs opened in the past month covering the gambling industry.

Only problem with living in Vegas: Get paid on Friday, be broke before returning to work on Monday.

Southwest kicks ass... I almost always fly out of Midway now because of them and its usually half the cost of flying United or anyone else out of O'Hare. Save you some driving time too if you're coming up from downstate I imagine.

Southwest is great when you get singing flight attendants, even better when those singing flight attendants are babes.

Of course, it's bad when you fail to take the hint and not go to their open party at Hard Rock Hotel. DOH!!!

Word of advice, if the flight attendants are hot, flirt like mad with you and talk about hanging out at the Hard Rock by all means don't be a fuck up like I did and worry about the tables. Tables can wait. Those hotties can't. Gawd, I was an idiot.

Seriously, these women were hot and I blew a golden opportunity.

It took 2 hours to get from Detroit to the Quad Cities. It took only 1:15 to get from Charlotte to Detroit. From Quads to Minneapolis was about 2:45. Minneapolis to Charlotte was about 2.

Quad cities sucked.

.
But, But...I thought it was the Quad Cities International Airport. At least that's what the sign said when I passed by it on my baseball trip.

Was it your cockiness or funniness? Because you know, people who get paid to be nice to you obviously just want to bang you.

Yes, but, if I'm single (unmarried and no girlfriend) it isn't adultery. And if I merely flirt, dance with, dine with, or otherwise enjoy the company of, it also isn't a sin.

As for your list of sins, I think some of them are open to interpretation. Indeed, man has come up with most of those.

This is why a lot of Christians rub me the wrong way. It's only a sin if someone else does it.

Not in my book. If another Christian goes to Vegas to gamble. Awesome baby!!!

One thing that pisses me off is when Christians I know say they can't go to Vegas, because it's sin city and gambling is a sin, yada yada.

I only want to know, what exactly makes gambling a sin?

And don't say "It's about stewardhip."
