OT: Hold'em Tourney
Saturday, I'm going to a little poker night at my friend's house. No Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament. 20 players, $20 buy-in.
My history with friendly hold'em tourneys: 1st out of 9 players, and 2nd of 12 players. Total winnings: $120 (total buy in: $30) Pretty good track record if I must say. But I'm a little rusty right now. Wish me luck. Any last minute pointers? ABC |

I guess try to remember their tendencies. I'm sure you figured some things out with a 1st and a 2nd. . .

Just came back from a great tourney. I won the $80 second place prize!
My losing hand: The heads up battle had been great, going back and forth for quite a while. I was behind only slightly in chip count. Finally, I had AKo and bet all-in. Opponent called and we showed our hands. He had KQo. He paired his Queen on the flop and that's all she wrote. Turn and River were no help, as I needed the Ace. No flush or straight possibility. 1st place was $170... oh so close.... My winnings are now $200 from a total buy-in of $50. Hmmm... thinking maybe I should start a dynasty? ![]() Last edited by AnalBumCover : 08-03-2003 at 09:43 AM. |
