Para Loco en Argentina?
Has anyone else noticed that transfer prices in Argentina seem to be at least 100-200% higher than the US? I think they're much higher, and consistently so, than in Sweden. At least Sweden still contains the occasional bargain, especially for low end players. I've actually lost several bids on mediocre players recently to Argentinians who bid insanely high prices. At least insane for the US. Now if only I could figure out a way to market my players somewhere else...
Edit: Maybe inflation is a cultural habit, considering their country's been living with the IMF in recent years. Last edited by Desnudo : 08-04-2003 at 03:23 PM. |

I've also noticed that Argentina is a bad place to find trainees. I'm not sure about higher level players though. The young players are almost always overpriced.

If I remember correctly, the population of Hattrick players in Argentina absolutely exploded in the past season or two. With every team coming in receiving a free $300,000, that means a ton of new money floating around the country (some of it will filter out via international transfers, but not all).

I managed to get 2 of my first trainees from there, total of $15,000 spent. Sold one last week for over 150K, the other one is a starter.
I think I got lucky though, since every time I've checked there in the last few months, I haven't found a single player that could be labelled a steal or even fairly priced. |
