Is it just me? I signed up twice already, and joined the FOFC group, but twice now I've just lost my account... says I have a bad username, and won't log me in...

Mike, I don't know what could be the problem. Maybe you could email them at [email protected]. When it first came down that some players had lost their username, I emailed them. Maybe they'll explain to you what they see wrong in your username...

FYI,
I got the bad username message when they had deleted my account do to an obviously bogus address. Bad username could mean there is no account with that name, not that they did not approve of the one you chose.
