Insane Klowns - Spring Grove Fighting Eagles
Insane Klowns - Spring Grove Fighting Eagles 0 - 1 Date: 8/7/2003 at 01:00 MatchID: 9406010 Arena: The Asylum Crowd: 21541 Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 21541 at The Asylum today. Insane had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Boyce - Skinner, Knutson, Sorensen, Mock - Mcclelland, Landis, Mckinley, Cohen - Nielson, Mineo. Fighting had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Mcgowan - Brown, Martínez Galan, Westfall - Lowe, Ortega, Williams, Ramalimgam, Maurer - Mahon, Briñas. In the 1st minute an unfortunate play by Phillip Boyce gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but David Ramalimgam, finding himself alone with the keeper, was unable to take advantage of the situation. Insane created a good opportunity to score in the games 23rd minute when Ron Mcclelland`s hooked ball created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. In the games 29:th minute Insane´s Deion Skinner fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Deion Skinner for taking a dive. The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 0. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Fighting, with an impressive 78 percent possession of the ball. Fighting took the lead in the games 51st minute with 0 - 1 after some elegant plays down the middle. Randy Mahon was the scorer. After the ball got lifted in from the left Randy Mahon was on his own in the home side´s penalty area 74 minutes into the game, and should have scored, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. The referee showed Insanes Thomas Mckinley the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Fighting were forced to a substitution as Ildefonso Martínez Galan couldn´t continue playing due to the rough treatment. Fighting held the ball, with a clear 84 percent possession rate. Most important Insane player was Phillip Boyce. Deion Skinner on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Ted Ortega. Will Stapleton was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 1.
