Week 3 Youth Pulls

Post those crazy youth pulls here.

Who will recieve the I hate you award this week?

Will it be traditional favs. such as Dataking, TargetPractice6, The Afoci and his Crawfish, or Ally?

Will it be someone like Frogman, SI, Vince, Illinifan...

Or will it be the impossible. Will it be Havok?

Of course in order to first make our youth pulls, we must first get our Economic Update. So Hattrick please give us our ecnomic update.

You've clearly forgotten NAIWF and his *two* consecutive 17yo solids.

yeah, it sucks to be us

i kinda wish HT had a more "fair" way to do youth pulls. Some guys get screwed week in and week out. Other guys get all the luck in the world.

Yeah, TP, but we expect you to get those guys. Us DIV/V slummers just get miffed when our fellow bums luck out.

I think it's pretty balanced. I got NOTHING noteworthy last year, and then 1st and 2nd week 17 yo solids this year. The best possible season of pulls and the worst possible season of pulls averages to be about two decent seasons worth

I've always had pretty good luck with youthies. I pulled 5 or so passable (and 2 solid) keepers when I was in IV to rescue me from debt... One of the solids started for my team until season 18.

This is my sacrifice to the HT Gods in hopes of a good pull...

I love kitty…

Alone in the dark and empty cellar I sit. They have changed, but I have not. Her and her precious kitty...

In this passage, this boy is jealous of a ladies lover her kitty… Could this jealous lead to murder…

I love kitty…

I remember when she first got the cat, she stopped paying attention to me, all she did was sit and pet her precious kitty…

I could hear them talking, scheming, probably going to come down here and cut me into little tiny pieces… then they would eat me…

But I got a plan, they will never guess it!

As I snuck up the stairs towards the lock, but I bust the lock, they will never guess it!

As I bust through the door to bust the lock my knife slipped out of my hands and I yelled….KNIFE!!!!

I get to my feet and gather my knife… “Honey, what is that noise?” said the lady…

“Nothing!” “It was nothing!”

“Here kitty kitty kitty…” I said as the cat jumped into my arms… And as it did, I hit it with my knife and nearly cut of its head….

I pick up the cat and approach the lady…

“What happened to kitty…” I said as I set the cat in front of her…

As she began to cry, anger filled my body… Rage filled my body…

I grabbed the ladies hair and her teary eyes met mine…

As I slowly dragged the knife ever so gently across the flesh of her neck, a trail of blood begun to form… and it got deeper, deeper as I cut deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper… Until her head was completely cut off….

I then held it next to mine… I turn to it… I take a bite of her ear… IT WAS CRUNCHY, BUT I LIKED IT….

I then used my knife eat as much of her and the cat as I could… I grabbed a bag and a shovel and went to the cellar… The dirt floor would be my advantage…I would bury them and no one would know it but me….

Many years had passed, and no one knew of the murders…

I went on walks daily…. Happy… But one day, I saw the cat….

“NO!!” I screamed.

I then ran back to the house; down to the cellar. I dug up the floor and looked in the bag and all that was in it was bones!!!

I then looked to the top of the stairs and the cat was there purring!!!

I run up the stairs and to the kitchen and grab a knife and jab it into my chest…

As I fell to the floor… I could see the cat approaching me… He took a sip of my blood…

But as he turned away I notice a different kitty…

And then I hear a noise by the door and it was the lady picking up her kitty…

As she walked towards me, I could see the cold cruel look in her eyes… And in those of the kitty…

She bent towards me… “Pet my kitty…”

It then claw me to death… I loved kitty…

I think I'll keep up my "wait until Sunday" that I've been doing the last few weeks: it's a good superstition. I'm sure my better youth pulls have nothing to do with my now excellent youth squad and everything to do with my superstition

That's the great things about superstitions: it only has to work once to be valid.

Hmm, maybe I should get superstitious.

Let's see, I was 2,000+ miles away from home for my one good youth pull...

The server must be slow getting us our updates. Lets blame it on Sweeden or Canada.

Which one?

Well, I figure we blame it on Sweden so much, why not blame it on someone else?

Canada seems the natural choice.

Or hey I know something even better. Lets blame it on Slashers!!!

Yea, its all Slashers fault. First he losses to Canada, then we reelect the dweeb, then he makes the server slow.

well of course you think its balanced, you got 2 of the best possible pulls back-to-back to start the season.

I've made 1,000 bucks off my youth squad in 18-19 pulls. I've built a pretty decent team considering i had a terrible team to start with and never made anything on my youth squad.

But there is a guy in my divison who started HT at the same time i did. He's made serveral huge mistakes!! like upgradeing his arena twice so far and its only at 10,700 seats. He just recently installed a good training program. Yet he has a better team then me now simply because he's pulled probally 3-4 passable keepers last season and a Solid PM that sold for 1,000,000 bucks 2 weeks ago.

I don't mind losing in anything. If someone outplays me or outsmarts me and i lose, Im fine with that. But when someone beats me out of shear luck it pisses me off

Sorry for the mini rant, im to competitive for my own good

What on EARTH is the holdup this time? HT seems to be up and running, and it seems to THINK it started doing updates, but obviously none of us has had our economic updates yet so we can't pull......

As my fingers and eyes twitch starting to go through HT withdrawl...

holy mother! What the heck is going on?!? You're all sitting aroung in here, HT won't allow us to do youth pulls, Canada hasn't even seen an economic update!!!

I left my computer screen at about 9 eastern, went to watch "Signs" on Movie Network, come back almost two hours later, hoping everything is fixed and I'd get my fix of Hattrick, but NO!!!

Anybody got a clue, maybe from the conferences?

Dola,

Sorry it's off-thread, but while we wait for news on HT, what team are you running? Anyone else? I'm currently Bari. Started in Series B, up to Series A in season 2 and getting whupped non-stop.

Bari can be tough sledding. I played the hell out of Bari in CM3. I've always been particular to the Italian leagues. I started an Udinese game just to get a feel for CM4 and then got hooked on the team I put together.

I'm noticing that now. I picked them because of their huge stadium. My first long game was with Forest Green in the English Conference. They had a 4000 seater that the board would never expand, even after I got to the Premier. So I went the other way. Unfortunately Bari's team that comes with the huge stadium isn't so hot. Actually, they suck.

A couple of loans and some good tactics got me to Series A, but it is tough sledding now. I'm just hoping to hang on for another season so the young players I brought in can develop enough to allow me to really compete.

From the HT site, for the record:

At around 01.00 tonight (HT-Time), the game engine was stuck. We're currently restarting it but it is heavily behond schedule and so the site will be closed for a few hours (starting 08:30) until it has caught up.

If it's automated (and they'd be insane NOT to, given the scope), then I wouldn't expect them to sit there and babysit their machine during the processing. Personally, I'd be out doing something more interesting than watching the hourglass spins.
