How Good is your B-team?

I was wondering how good of a b-team everyone fields in whichever game they play? The question arose, for me, because I was trying to figure out if I would beat anyone in the FOFC Cup playing 2nd string (which I would be playing), since my starters are in the top 50 of Frogman's rankings and that means I would be grouped with the "Big Boys" when the Cup commences.

My 2nd group got 44 NSI today (played international in Italy, so game is over), counting my coach as a winger since a player got injured (sad to say coach isn't THAT much worse than the winger, really. ). That is 18 nsi points below starting group last ratings.

How does your 2nd team rank in NSI, and compared to your starters??

Good Day!!

My scrubs can get an NSI of about 50. Usually less, though.

I'll tell ya after tonight's friendly. It's been a while since I last played my scrubs all together for one game...

Much like Frogman, its been rare when I actually fielded all my "B-Teamers" in a single game. Used to get a low to mid 40s NSi with them I think, but thats about to plummet as I just sold off my two excellent IMs and the form of the remaining players is.. well, lets just say I have two players at inadequate form and their head and shoulder above the rest of the sorry bunch.

My scrubs could probably put up a high 40s, low 50s NSI...however I'm training middies and most of my backups are high inadequates/low passables.

Holy moly, 55 NSI?!?!?! Crikey, my A-squad is only starting to get to that level.
My "B-squad," which I usually refer to as my "D-squad" pulled an NSI of 33 and 17 stars in an international friendly 4-1 loss to FM's Pittbulls this week.

However slowly and surely, both of my squads are improving, but I get the impression that I'l have to pull myself out of debt a bit (ok, a LOT) before I can have much hope of either affording or training up new players. That's ok, it's a part of the game and I'm addicted enough that I'm in it for the long haul...

My B squad posted a 47, with the following ratings:

Pintendre Pittbulls
Player rating and Team formation
Midfield: inadequate
Right Side Defence: passable
Central Defence: passable
Left Side Defence: inadequate
Right Side Attack: weak
Central Attack: solid
Left Side Attack: weak

I train playmaking, btw. Technically, it wasn't really my B squad, as I had a starter coming back from injury, playing at inner mid. I probably would have had a weak midfield without him in there, as he's a solid playmaker (halfway to excellent) with excellent stamina and the player that played in his place in the last league game is only a low passable playmaker with passable stamina...

I'm impressed by that solid central attack, it's the same as my A squad

Yeah... I spent money early this season upgrading my B-squad so I could compete both in the cup and in my series.

My B team is solid. Mainly consists of young players with one to two starters. This past week in league play for Series V, our B team scored a 57.7. The week before our starters scored a 64.2. So it's a wash really. My B team will have to get better soon because in the next season or two we'll be selling a couple of starters who are currently formidable in playmaking.

My "B" squad pulled a 35 on a PIC at home with average TS. Probably could get high 30's if I played normal at higher TS. Ideally, once I get some more cash, some of my "A" team will move to the "B" team and some of the "B" team will move to burger flipping.

Mind you, I'm in the bottom third of FOFC rankings (and I'm not playing in the FOFC cup).

For comparison, my "A" squad has been steady at a 46 NSI the last couple of weeks.

My 'B' team sucks rocks, and is at least half 'A' team players. So I've got that going for me.

I've cut back my team so that I only have one sub at each position except middie trainees.

SI,

Same here man. The player expenses were getting way too high for me, lol. I made some decent money two weeks ago when I sold off my high caliber subs. My hattrick bank account thanked me, lol.

I played the 4-5-1 instead of my usual 3-5-2. i am preparing for crucial league games where I know I am going to lose, just trying to avoid many goals scored against me... Booh !
