Wonder if FOF will ever make it all the way to ESPN...

Interesting to see how good the site is as it devlops more.

Here's the address:

Too much of a niche market, I'm afraid.

The ESPN site is certainly geered toward gamer DoOdZ, but once it fleshes out more (if it does), it will be interesting to see if they ever get into text sims. At some point, one would think, they would have to address the Champ Man craze. That would logically lead into a discussion about other text sims.

It's almost entirely console based right now... But I've mentioned it to Arlie and we're certainly going to take a shot at getting their attention towards sims... the worst they can do is say no.

But if they say yes, well then the extra traffic could be great!

So it's really a low risk high reward proposition IMO.

Well, they seem to hype their own products over others.. but their reviews are kinda funny..
Cases in point

989 studio's game..
2) "Authentic" Houston Texans playbook should include more "take the sack" and "throw the ball away" plays.

4) Virtual Randy Moss should sometimes ignore user hot route commands. After all, the real-life Randy doesn't play for anyone but Randy.

and xbox's nfl fever.. which includes a online league play option

3) Fine users/league members for failing to interview black head coaching candidates during virtual offseason.

4) When playing with certain virtual quarterbacks -- for instance, Washington's Danny Wuerffel -- replace "Read-and-Lead" passing system with "Chuck-N-Duck."

5) Los Angeles-based gamers should not be allowed to join an XSN league. After all, everybody knows that L.A. doesn't need or want an NFL franchise

It would be nice for them to give the "text sim" arena some attention in this area, especially since they use Diamond Mind to look at past/future seasons. Not holding my breath though.

There's always a chance. TCY was featured on ESPNews a couple of years ago, and I sent a copy of FOF4 to the reporter who ran the story.
