Which coach is da best!

Once i get a another 200k or so in the bank i plan on getting a new coach. I have a passable coach now, but i really wanna get a solid coach. I've been looking over the different coachs.... Offensive, Defensive, and Neither Offensive or Defensive. I just can't decide.

For teams that train defense, a offensive coach seems like the logical choice of course. It really helps to balance out the ratings.

Same goes for teams that train scoring and run a 3-4-3. A defensive coach seems like the smart choice there. That way you don't give up as many goals as you score.

But what about teams that run a 3-5-2 and train PM??? Right now i have an offensive coach but it does cause my defense some problems. It seems like most teams that run a straight 3-5-2 with an offensive coach, have a hard time getting a strong defense.

It seems even worse for teams that run a 3-5-2 with a defensive coach. They can't seem to get good offensive ratings no matter how good they're forwards are. I see teams with 2 offensive middy's and 2 formidable/outstanding or higher forwards getting only a excellent attack rating. That hurts

Now what i've been trying to find out is how well "neither attack nor defense minded" coach works with the 3-5-2. But i can't seem to find any!! The only team i know that has one is DK and it seems to be working quite well for him.

He can get a formidable central attack with a excellent/wretched (passable experiance) forward and a solid/passable forward in good form. Plus his defensive ratings range from formidable to magnificent with 3 formidable defenders (all with shitty experiance) and a solid goalie.

Does anyone else know of any other teams with a "neither attack nor defense minded" coach??? If so please post them here so i can look over them.

Also, i'd like to know what you guys think......

Don't get a solid coach with poor leadership if you want TS to last. I lost 2 levels since my PIC last Sunday. My passable/passable did a much better job with preserving TS.

Of course, if you're just looking at quicker turnover of your trainees, than just disregard the last comment.

I have an offensive coach. I like him a lot, but there was this one situation that pissed me off. The Shaw Shanksters had a 2-1 lead going into the second half. We ended up losing the game 4-2.

It was only a friendly so it really did not matter.

Offensive coaches like to rub it in and often will wait till you have a 5-6 goal lead until they pull back. Although he did pull back with a 2 goal lead once.

Thats wierd NAIWF.... my coach now only has inadequate leadership and i don't lose that much TS. Usually 1 level a week, but once i did lose 2 levels in a week.

does everyone else with a poor leadership coach lose that much TS

I picked up the following coach at the end of last season:

Lynn Salmon (11344188)
57 years, inadequate form, healthy
A solid coach who is fond of attacking
A sympathetic guy who is tranquil and upright.
Has excellent experience and passable leadership abilities

I tend to agree with the earlier comments. I am training PM and running a 3-5-2. My offense isn't a problem, but it seems that my defense certainly is suspect, especially against teams that attack.

My team spirit has been great with a couple of PICs, my team spirit has been Paradise on Earth for all but one week (the week following a normal match).

BTW, woohoo 1200 posts!
