Laid Off Today

Well, it's not like I didn't see it coming, but today I was laid off from job. Just another notch in the belt of this most wonderful year of my life. Sorry to whine and complain on the board, but I needed to vent and share somewhere. Thanks for listening.

I had to let 35 of the most talented people I have come across (with the exception of this board) in a long time go yesterday.

It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.

Well, it was cut-down day. Hopefully one of the other teams saw something in you during pre-season and you'll catch on. There's also the strong chance you could be released just to clear waivers so you can be put on the team's practice squad. Keep your chin up & stay by the phone.

Maybe I should quit frequenting this board. Seems like everyone here is either losing their job or getting a divorce...

I think quoting the Venga Boyz in a serious manner on this board, should be a bannable offense

In total seriousness, if my company gets the funding they are looking for, they are hiring developers. I'll keep you in the loop if/when it becomes possible to look for new people.
